So I know I should be tracking my LO’s feedings and wet/dirty diapers in the first days/weeks to ensure BF is going well. But are there any other things I should track? I dont want to be one of those crazy first time mom’s that schedule everything or cant let baby sleep without counting the minutes but I kind of think something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Newborn-Baby-Tracker%C2%AE-Childcare-Journal/dp/9729375011 might help – but at the same time I think what a waste of money.

I use an iphone app called Baby Connect. I like it way better than a written journal b/c it allows you to log everything from your phone or your computer… plus you can share an account w/ your spouse and/or daycare provider, so they can enter in diapers and feedings, and they will sync up with your log automatically. Also it shows you daily and weekly statistics, so you can easily tell whether baby is feeding for more or less time per day, making more or few diapers, etc. I think the app was maybe $5 or $6, so not too bad considering…

Like @skibobrown: I use an app on my Droid called BabyESP. It tracks feedings, sleep, and diapers, and hasa bunch of other cool features. The app was $4, I think, and multiple phones can be on the same account, so multiple people can enter information about the same baby.
If you’re looking for a digital version of the paper log you linked, I’ve heardgood things about the Itzbeen timer, as well.
