Oh yes, I can relate. We’re not both facing the same challenges, but I know how it feels to think: “Many newlywed we know have this awesome glow & excitement… And I feel like we are somehow missing out!” We moved in together for the first time after the wedding – oh no, wait – we moved in together in our apartment on March 15 and lived in my mother’s garage for a month immediately after the wedding. The arguing kind of came swiftly. We’re working on communication now. I love him to bits and we’re so strong in so many ways, but there sometimes seems to be one argument for every good thing that happens to us. It must just be this time of adjustment. Everything will get better with time Laughing.

@Mrs_Amanda:  Yeah, same here. a week after we got back from our honeymoon, I found out I had an autoimmune disorder that requires due care and constant monitoring. It’s been laborious to say the least. Without recounting the past year and going into too many details, there was blow after blow, one thing after another, once a month up until last month where my husband and i have been looking at eachother like, “Damn, can’t we catch a break already?”

After my surgery a month and a half ago, I think we deserve a break! It’s been a difficult road to travel mentally, but not beyond possible. Just keep your eye on the prize, and try not to let little nuances get in your way.

PS– now aren’t you glad you stayed an active bee after the wedding? 😉
