So I've been lurking for quite some time and now I'm finally engaged so I can post!
FI and I picked out a ring in April and I've just been planning my little heart out! Last night he finally got on one knee and it was just such a beautiful proposal! He took me on a walk in the park behind my parents house at sun set so we watched the sun set over the lake and then continued walking even though it was dark. I wanted to turn back but he insisted we go through a little loop we have walked together before. We came to a little wooden bridge with ribbons tied on the posts and all of a sudden white christmas lights turned on in the bushes. As soon as I saw that I started crying and he got on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was completely perfect and I am so impressed with him!
Afterwards he had to climb into the bushes to get back his car battery that was powering the lights! He's a big nerd and was very happy to have incorporated all his electronics and wireless controls into the proposal! We are so happy and I'm thrilled to be joining the bee!
