It looks amazing. Don’t worry about other people’s rings. You love it and thats what matters. Personally, i think you would regret returning it.

Get over it! Lol. That’s what you wanted to hear, right?

I never understand these threads. You don’t need validation from strangers on the internet. Remember you loved that ring for a reason and, more importantly, you love the person who gave it to you!!! Many people think their rings are too small (or too big) at some point.

LeChatN0ir: if it’s still uncomfortable when you get back, just get it resized. It’s a simple fix that a lot of us have to go through!

I think that’s one of the difficult things a guy has to do, guess the size of the ring. Some are lucky (I’ve always worn a ring, and have a few. So, when my fiancé went to the jewelry store while I was at work, he had a one-up on the matter by taking one of my spares and putting it back before I got home).

If the ring actually feels tight, get it resized. Tell your guy that it feels a little small, and go together.

Now, if you actually think the stone itself is too small, I’m with the other girls.  Get over it. It came from his heart, so it means something to him too. I never wanted a diamond, never cared for them. I told my guy that before he got the ring (we discussed many things long before he proposed). He still got a diamond, and I still love it despite that it wasn’t what I wanted. It came from him, and he loves me enough to keep me around. That means more to me than anything else.

The band itself looks light it might be too snug on your finger (but like you said ur in Mexico so do to stress abt that until u get home and that’s an easy quick fix) how does it feel?! That’s what’s really important! The diamond size looks perfect and beautiful!! And like you said he went out of his way to get you something super $$ for you guys so what would being unhappy about the size of the diamond do for you, it sounds like an upgrade is out of the budget. So enjoy it!! Congrats!!!!

BWLE has a good point. Aside from the fact that your ring is beautiful and looks perfect on your hand, you say that this ring was quite expensive. If you decide it is “too small”, do you have the option of returning it for a larger stone and the additional expense that would incur? If not, why worry about something outside the budget?

If the weather is really really hot, of course your finger will swell quite bad, no worries 😀 I live in a tropical country where mid-day heat can be scorching and I’m aware that my fingers immediately shrink once I’ve been in an air conditioned room for some time. That’s when my ring starts to feel too big. But as always, you can always resize the ring, just make sure the jeweler does it right with extra care.

I think everyone has little doubts about wedding things after the fact becuase theoretically, you only get this ONCE…. so even though you lusted for the ring, now that you have it you know you can’t change your mind or go pick something else.  It’ll come and go.  Styles and trends change.  You’ll have days where you’ll be like, man I wish I’d picked THAT ring…. and other days where you can’t stop staring at yours.  Just the way it is.  Remind yourself that its a phase.  ANY ring you’d picked, you’d be thinking the same thing at some point.
