    Ladies,

Let's make the Newlywed board more active. There's very few places for newlyweds to get advice on the Internet. The Nest just doesn't cut it for me.  Ladies let's chat about newlywed life.

I love my newlywed life :) I hardly ever post on that board though, cuz I still spend all my time in the lounge lol.

I should check out the lounge more often.

Great idea Kayakgirl! I do a lot of my postings on the Babies board but I wouldn't mind coming up with a few newlywed topics to get this board going.

I've been lurking in the Newlywed board, I'm loving newlywed life. The first few weeks were the same as before but once we settled back into routine after the honeymoon I felt like something had changed - for the better of course.

Love being a newlywed also! I'm so happy this board is there as I'm NOT ready to leave weddingbee even when my wedding is over. I feel like there is so much good things that come out of this community. Yay for newlyweds, and congrats ladies!! :)

Hello newlyweds! I love coming back to the 'bee as an "older, wiser" person with all this amazing wedding knowledge to pass on, hehe :)

But yeah, I always loved getting advice from married bees when it came to wedding planning (like, what was worth it, what wasn't, etc.) so I like posting about those. But I would also love to see more threads about plans after the wedding, like buying a house, new recipes, cooking dinners, has your social life changed at all, etc. I'm glad other bees are still active on the newlywed board!

I'm an older newlywed I guess.  I try to impart my wisdom around the boards.  Don't really have any ideas to post on the Newlywed boards though!

There are a lot of posts about buying homes in the new Home board.

@MissAsB: don't feel bad! I too am an "older" newlywed.....we are actually getting ready to celebrate our one-year anniversary. So I guess I technically won't be a newlywed for too much longer!

I love sharing advice with the brides-to-be on the site, as well as getting ideas for myself. (I'm in the wedding biz - lucky me!)

Maybe someday I can also take part in the Babies board, too....only time will tell. =)

We've got a bunch of new newlyweds after this weekend! There are so many boards I just post all over the place. What types of topics were you thinking of?

Welcome Bella! Or should I say Mrs. Heinz, haha!

I guess we all stay around in the wedding related boards to pass along our wisdom, if we really have any! :)
Otherwise, after the wedding, I felt kinda lost, like "ok what am I supposed to do now", so the new hobbies are one subject.

I love the nesting boards, because that's where I am now I guess - taking care of our house and trying to make it more homey..

What did you like about your wedding, what would you do differently; and definitely, definitely, PICS - I can't get enough of them! :)

    See you around!

Definitely a good idea to keep advising new brides and telling them what you did and didn't like about you wedding!

I'm trying to be more active on the nesting boards but our home nesting is on hold because I'm not going to decorate a rental!  Once we decide to buy a new house, I will post about that on the home board!

I'm a bit embarassed that I still read WB on a regular basis, but I can't find any good blogs/sites for newlyweds, other than the blogs of former bees. So, I'm happy to stop stalking and start contributing again :)

I do the same thing! Even though I am married (almost 5 months) I still completely follow wedding bee. Partly because my sister is a bee and partly because I am in denial my wedding is over. I never thought I would be "that" girl. Also a few people have told me you are newlyweds for at least a year so I am going with that! I too will try to be more diligent about checking out the newly wed stuff.

I enjoy the various newly wed topics peope have come up with sometimes I don't realize that I'm having the same issues as others until someone else brings a topic up. I do try to advise other brides. I really need to get some pics up on my bio.

There are a lot of people active on here that have been married over a year.  This is sort of a replacement for The Nest (ewwww).

I am married. I don't know if you would say I was a newly wed (almost 2 years) but I would love to talk with other married women. Anyone from Ohio? Where is everyone else from?

My husband and I live in AL now.  I'm almost a year married now but I doubt people on The Nest are all newly married.  The nesting boards I think are for married people of all ages who love the Bee!

I too love being a newlywed!  It is great to have someone who is always around when you need them!  I love knowing that after a hard day's work or just a rough day in general that someone who loves me unconditionally will be waiting for me when I get home!!!

It's almost 4 months after my wedding and I finally changed my FB picture to a picture not wedding related... I think I'm beginning to feel like I'm no longer a newlywed.

I know to the world, I'm not a newlywed but I know on here I can be a newlywed forever.... hehe

Maybe we should do a newlywed check in... like once a month.  See how everyone is doing... kind of like a waiting bee check in or a pregnant bee check in.

That would be a good idea yrret but what would we talk about in the checkups?  A lot of things don't really happen every month with me.

I agree I am not trying to have kids right now so I am not sure what I would check in about. We did buy a house a little over a year ago and have been busy with that. I decided to break out on my own and start my business which has it's ups and downs. Anything going on with anyone else?

I like reading threads about babies and house hunting, but we won't be doing either of those until hubs is out of grad school in a year. Are there any other "newlywed" topics to cover? I love baking, but it's rarely related to wedding planning.

I've been so consumed with house hunting that I havn't been on the boards much :( But I do LOVE that weddingbee added a "home" board...the nest was too annoying :)

Hello fellow newlyweds!  Well, I don't even think I'm considered a newlywed anymore, but oh well, lol.

Now that your weddings are over, are more of you focused on home buying, starting a family, your career, finding a new job?

Maybe we should do a newlywed introduction thread. Maybe include our state, how long married, homeowner, condoowner or renter. Hobbies? Occupation? How long married? This could maybe be a sticky at the top of the newlywed board? What your next thing is be it a house, car, vacation, baby or new career or back to school?

Sounds like a lot of us are at the same point-- newly-wed or married, not planning on a baby or any other big change soon and just looking for a place to "land" in the forums. I don't come to the Bee as often as i used to because I don't know what to say... I wish I did. I miss the Bee! The most I have had to post about recently is condoms, which is just, well, weird! Tongue out

I like the intro idea, though... it's a start, anyway, and a good way to see whose here Smile

I will start up a newlywed introduction thread if you guys want!

@Ms.Editor: If you want, you can start threads about the things that you are baking!  The nesting boards don't relate to wedding planning!

    Yeah, I like these ideas.

I'm going to talk to the other hostesses and see if we can get a sticky in place.

I do wish there was a NWR food section... Now that I'm a wife, I'm started to get really good with cooking and sometimes I wish I could share with everyone what I have learned.  I would also love some tips too, since I'm don't consider myself a chef, yet. (I don't think I ever will... hehe)

I don't know if you saw my post where I was excited about getting a chest freezer. (I'm really turning into a wife now)  Plus, I found this nifty garlic chopper.  You just put the garlic in and roll it around and it chops your garlic for you.  Greatest invention ever!

Like a few of you, I'm not ready to have a kid yet and it would be nice to talk about other things.  Although, I have had that urge to kids.  I just need to keep telling myself, I need to wait.

Edit:  haha.. you guys beat me to it!

If you'd like to post about NWR Food, you can do it anywhere in the Nesting section.

    http://boards.weddingbee.com/view/nesting

Or if you'd like an official board, feel free to suggest one on the Ideas tab. :-)

@Ms.Editor: If enough people want it, we can start doing weekly/monthly receipe share threads or something along those lines.
