So I know I’m not the only one. After the big day was over, all the stress seemed to melt away. I started sleeping more, eating what I wanted – since I didn’t have to worry about wearing the dress anymore. While I don’t know that I’ve actually gained weight, I know I’ve gained some fat. I’ve probably gained a few pounds in the process, too. Most of all, I’ve lost my motivation to get out and exercise. On my days off, all I want to do is post on the bee, read, catch up on chores around the house, and that’s it. I really want to make it a point to exercise at least a few times a week. After all, we are paying for gym memberships that we aren’t even using anymore.
So, I’ll answer a few questions, and that would be cool too if you bees wanted to answer them as well, that way we can support each other!!
How long have you been married? About 5 months.
How much weight do you want to lose? Maybe 5 pounds or so, mostly just toning up and getting myself moving again.
What exercises do you plan on doing? Actually using my gym membership, Darling Husband & I also plan to start playing roller hockey once the weather warms up here.

So my wedding was 10/5/2012 and I was able to lost around 30 pounds for it. This included waking up at 4am 5 days a week to hit the gym and eating sper healthy. Which because of the pre-wedding stress, I stopped about 3 weeks before the actual wedding and lucky for me…had no weight gain. Well I gained around 8 on the honeymoonand that is when I started to go down hill. I didn’t return to the gym and pretty much ate what I wanted and I am sad to say that I put on almost all the weight I lost 🙁 I have taken myself off the pill and have PCOS so I know that may have something to do with the weight gain but no more than eating like a pig and being lazy as done.
With that said, this week I returned to the gym and am starting to clean up my diet. Here’s hoping I can stick with it because we are actually going on a beach trip over spring break and I’d liketo be able to wear my shorts which I wore on my Honeymoon which no longer fit ugh 🙁
I lift and I love it. Darling Husband got me into it last year and it took the weight right off me. I do cardio before every workout usually between 20-25 mins then I weight train for about 20-25. During the spring time, Darling Husband and I usually try to do something active and outside..hiking, walking our dog etc so I hope to start that back up when the warm weather returns!

How long have you been married? 6 months, and two days 🙂
How much weight do you want to lose? The 15 or so lbs I put on since the wedding, and then 20 or so lbs I wanted to loose before the wedding.
What exercises do you plan on doing? DH and I joined a gym last weekend! We have plans to go at least two days a week together, but I would like to get another day or two in during the week. I’ve been doing treadmill, the ski machine?, and stationary bike. I would like to use the stairs climber, and weight machines as well. Also, my gym has a pool, so I eventually would like to swim some laps.
I’m really excited about this time around, because Darling Husband has finally truely admitted to wanting to loose the weight, and I know this support will help me. One of his friends has a Fitbit, so now he has to have one too. Initially I was on the fence, they just seam like fancy step counters to me. But, if they will help me gauge my activity level better (somedays I’m at school, others I’m working at a cafe, and one day a week I help out in a kindergarten classroom), I think I could gauge what I actually need to do better. I got him on MFP, and seeing what he has been eating has been helping him as well.
For me, I need to get back on track to providing healthy, low calorie meals, watching my calories, and start working out again.

How long have you been married? Almost 6 months
How much weight do you want to lose? 10-15 pounds. We are going on a cruise in September, and I would to feel ok with being in public in a swimsuit.
What exercises do you plan on doing? I just started couch to 5k last night. I would really like to learn to enjoy running. We did a 5k last year and I want to beat my time. I also would like to start doing more with weights.
My biggest problem is I like to drink beer 🙁 and we homebrew…..so its hard to get away from it! But I have lost about 3 pounds since January, not a huge loss but its better than nothing!
We can do it!!

@FutureMrs86: I can’t wait until it warms up here too. My winter boots are starting to fall apart, and I am so tired of putting them on. My Darling Husband and I talked about doing more active outdoor activities as well, like biking and kayaking. I’m going to do my best to make sure we actually do it this year though!

@auggiefrog: Same here! I hate having to put boots and coats on when we go outside or even to the gym. Makes getting up in the morning a lot more difficult when you have to warm your car up. Can’t wait for the warm weather!! We love being outside and active 🙂

yoga & elliptical & weights
I used to work out all the time and never missed a yoga class but since moving in with dh & his kids last year, being wife & full time mom has gotten me in a rut. I’ve been letting dh & the kids talk me into doing everything but go to the gym. I’ve been twice this week and I’m sick so that’s a start! Gotta get to yoga tonight, no excuses!!

How long have you been married? About 4 months.
How much weight do you want to lose? 5-10 pounds, mostly just toning up and getting myself moving again.
What exercises do you plan on doing? I want to get back into my boot camp (which I stopped doing a month before the wedding – 5 months ago, eeek) or join a cross-fit.I’m training for a 180-mile bike ride in April but that doesn’t work out the abs or arms, so I need some general cardio.
Girls, who has some tips on dieting? Good cookbooks, recipe blogs, or Pinterest boards? Need some ideas for healthy eating, too! We eat lots of veggies, but def too much pasta and sweets. I’m trying to find more healthy snack ideas and to slowly wean my Darling Husband off snacks, because he’s such a bad influence!

How much weight do you want to lose? I think around 10 lbs and toning
What exercises do you plan on doing? Ugh! None, lol. Considering my lifestyle, I am on my feet running around for 6 hours a day, the last thing I want to do is go to the gym right now. If there’s stuff I can do from home ill give it a whirl. I’ve never eexercised before and never really needed to….. Until now! So I’m clueless.

How long have you been married? Almost 9 months 🙂
How much weight do you want to lose? 50 lbs… well 37 left to go.
What exercises do you plan on doing? This is week 5 of working out, 6 days a week. We go to the gym 4 days a week, I focus soley on cardio. Running, elliptical, spinning, recumbent bike. Then the other 2 days I take a strengthening and toning class (ie:weights, squats, abs, etc.).
Girls, who has some tips on dieting? I use http://www.loseit.com I like it better than MFP. I limit my calories to 1400 a day. I also don’t eat my “burned” calories so most days I actually net less 🙂 I suggest whey protein in the morning and right after your workout. I also cut out almost all bread, pasta, flour. I was cutting it out completely but my body was craving it really bad so now I have bread once or twice a week.
I have lost 13 lbs over the first 4 weeks. I know it’s healthy to loose 1-2 lbs per week. I think I have lost so much because I was so unhealthy and lazy for so long, my body is in a sort of shock!

How long have you been married? 1 month
How much weight do you want to lose? No actual pounds, my weight has stayed the same, but I haven’t worked out since the morning of the wedding, and have stopped counting calories (lost 15lbs pre-wedding by working out 6 days a week and counting carbs), so my honeymoon six pack is now hidden by a slight keg My goal is to be bikini ready by summer!
What exercises do you plan on doing? I did Supreme 90 for 60 days before the wedding, I’d like to try and finish the last 30 days, even if I don’t do it every day like I did pre-wedding, and even if I now have to use lighter weights because I’m slightly out of shape now . I’m also trying to stop eating so badly (she says as she bites into a bagel), even if I don’t obsessively count carbs anymore.

How long have you been married? 6.5 months
How much weight do you want to lose? 15-20lbs. Almost all of mine is pre-wedding weight. My junior year of college, I was down to 135 (I’m 5′ 7″)and felt great! I love how I looked and I was loving working out daily. Then, I was diagnosed with PCOS and put on the pill and gained 10lbs in 3 months. I’ve been on a couple different ones since and the weight is hanging on! Ugh!
What exercises do you plan on doing? Darling Husband and I go to the gym 3-5 times a week. Mostly cardio, but we are getting back into lifting as well.

So how’s it going, bees? I’ll admit I haven’t been back in the gym yet, but I’ve been out skiing with Darling Husband. We only have a couple weeks left of it so we’re going to be going a lot untl the season ends.

How long have you been married? Almost 3 weeks
How much weight do you want to lose? I’d like to lose 20 pounds. I gained some weight on our honeymoon and haven’t been able to get into the swing of things once we got back. I’ve been eating super bad junk and haven’t seen the gym since a few days before we got married.
I didn’t hit my wedding goal weight so I would like to get there before Darling Husband and I start trying to make a little one.
What exercises do you plan on doing? I plan on doing weight training 2 days and cardio 4 days. Every day I’ll walk at least 45 minutes. We did 30 minutes of running/walking this morning and will be going to the gym tonight to lift.
