Ours is kind of below average right now because I have some health issues. It's usually only about twice a week. He wants it more often than I do.
I feel that mine is stronger too. He works long hours and when he comes home, he wants to crash. I can't help but to feel a little weird about it...I actually question his attraction to me...which is crazy but I can't help it. Do you feel the same way?
lately it is barely 1x/week, but I'm hoping it doesn't stay that way! I've been having some health issues, that are thankfully getting better! Also, we will start TTC in Dec, so we'll try to spice it up!

We're pretty average most of the time, although when we're both stressed or not feeling well the number goes down.

Our frequency just depends on how we're feeling. In all honesty, during the week is not when we have sex but on the weekends we go a little crazy. I'd say between 2-3 a week.
Kudos to whoever is having sex 6-7 times a week! HOLY COW!
Barrettsgirl omg we so need to talk. Same issue here, his come-home-early days are 7.30 pm and when it's late it's like midnight or after. When he has any free time all he wants to do is crash or read...I used to try nagging to get it up to 2x a week but he would barely make it and...and tired sex is not enjoyable at all.
We haven't even been married that long yet and talked so many times, I'm sure he understands and he's really trying to do his best so I guess I just have to accept that...I'm just trying to convince myself that quality is better than quantity...I'm so jealous of other couples though!

We try to be together at least once a day, we make it a priority. Of course life gets busy but honestly we usually find the time for it at least before bed but sometimes when we wake up too. Thankfully my little one's a good sleeper and we have locks on our bedroom door ;-) We've been together over a two years and living together for nine months (although he lived upstairs from me before he moved in so being under the same roof made it easy to see each other all the time).
We have had our sexual up and downs over the course of the relationship, but we agree that a minimum of 2 x per week, ideally 3 x per week, and we are both happy campers. I work 12 hour shifts with nursing (so forget it, I am covered in hospital germs and am a whole new level of exhausted after one of those) so sex is generally on my days off or the "in between day" between working days and nights.
I try not to get to caught up in the so call "norms" and "averages". I have lived with my FI for 5 years, been together for 6, and I think as long as two people can come to a mutally satisfactory level of sex, then you are doing okay!
Before kids, we were more active, healthy, had more free time, and had more privacy. After kids, it's not necessarily about "quanity," we focus more on "quality." There's sex, and there's making love. We try to have that balance.
we're at 1-2 times a week, though we're averaging around 1 :/ I wish we could more often and I too feel like my sex drive is higher than his. I have just recently began questioning my attractiveness. I've gained a couple of pounds and loss some muscle mass (i.e. getting more rumple-y in the thighs and heiny). Usually it just ends up that one of us is too tired. Used to be me, but now it's mostly him. Not a whole lot I can do about it though. bleh :(
ladies, please don't question your attractiveness! men don't generally marry women they aren't attracted to, if ever! I doubt they even notice a little extra chub...I have gained more weight since the wedding than I care to admit, but my hubby still finds me sexy, and instead focuses on things like by bigger curves, lol
I would say anywhere from 2-4 times a week. We try to "schedule" time together which isn't super-romantic but we're so busy and we both fall into routines easily (like work --> school -> gym -> dinner --> TV -> sleep) It definitely happens more on the weekends when we don't have as much to do.
My drive is definitely higher than his, though!
My sex drive is much higher than Mr. Dizzy's. He's got a lot of personal issues (he's a veteran, so...yeah) and the medications he's on kinda take away his ability to...perform...and take away his want to have sex. So, once or twice a month..if I'm lucky lol
I generally have a higher drive than DH. Before marriage I had unrealistic expectations (i.e. every day, and twice a day on the weekends) Life is very different from that, but that is normal, I suppose!
Lately I've been super stressed out and feeling generally unattractive and low energy so it's not been so often :( I'm hoping I get out of my rut soon because I'm starting to feel really bad about it.
so, the same day that I wrote that I was afraid I wasn't as attractive to hubby anymore, some random guy on the street said "hey beautiful" to me lol We kicked our rut this weekend, but I think Aunt Flo is about to visit, so that'll kill the mood again for another week. ugh. lol
I'd say we're lower than usual right now. At the end of the day I'm tired and right now I feel the opposite of sexy because of some weight gain. Maybe once spring comes we'll feel more bunny-like :(
I find that we have actually been doing it alot more since we have been married. Prior to the wedding it was maybe once a month and now its around 1 - 2 per week. I honestly think it was more of a psychological thing for me. I guess I feel less evil doing the nasty because we are married and that's what we are should do and plus that last thing I wanted to happen was to get preggie before being married. Hmmm...maybe my Catholic upbringing was sneaking in my conscience, lol.
We went through a period of about a year where my drive was WAY stronger than his, and it caused some strife. I felt like he was not attracted to me sometimes, but usually he was just getting annoyed. I was wanting it once a day at least, if not more.
Now it has flipped to him having the stronger drive and me being kind of "meh" about it. I guess it just goes in phases... We're holding steady at about 3 times per week, sometimes more sometimes less.
Congrats to the ladies having sex 4+ times a week............ wow. You have what I struve to achieve :)
we just got married and ours is a little low too... but it's because I got a UTI right away. Then I had to have a minor surgery on some skin on my back so we've been really cautious about having sex.
kind of sucks to have these things ruin the honeymoon sex. we will make it up later!
Thanks for the poll. I was feeling very self concious about us not getting enough. Usually 2-3 times a week but weekdays it seems sparse because I am so busy. Seems like we are average. *big sigh of relief*
Phew, this post made me feel better about of sex life. We're so busy I thought twice a weeks was little, glad to know we're not alone :)

@hotchildinthecity: we do the same thing! I swear if we didn't schedule sex It would probably only be once a week if that!
We were pretty steady at 6+ times a week but then I had period, midterms, a sinus infection, yeast infection, period, and then he had to pull some major working-from-home hours and wasn't coming to bed until like 2am. We're just now starting to get back into the groove.
My sex drive is definatley stronger right now. I'm hoping after the wedding we will get back into our mutually compatible sex life.
I work second shift...2:30-11 and he works normal hours so we have a hard time finding a time to "do it" haha. so we usually play catch up on the weekends...but once or twice during the weekdays he stays up late and waits up for me ;)
Slightly off topic question: does nobody here have sex during her period?
@cheerful--Actually, this weekend was the first time during SO and I's 14.5 month relationship that we did.

I think that I have a stronger sex drive than my hubby. That's okay, but how much is about average for these boards? I know this is personal, but if you're willing to share, it could be really interesting and helpful...
