Just wondering how many pro wedding photos were given to you when all was said and done (either actual prints or files on a CD). And how many hours did your photog(s) shoot on your wedding day?
I have 2000 photos on two DVD's !
Took me hours to go through them all. Two photographers, 6-7 hours.
My photographer said we should expect to receive 500 edited professional pictures with full rights on disk. At times I feel as though that's enough, and at times I don't think so...
We got nearly 1000 pictures on disk and had the photographers for 4 hours.
Btw mine are not edited. I just asked for everything on CD. Not sure how many edited images are going in the album.
We received around 1,100 pictures. We actually ended up with 2,200 technically, because he included a set of the photos with a large size/resoultion for reprinting and a set sized for the internet/email.
I got 571 edited images on a CD. I had 1 photographer for 8 hours. I think she said she shot somewhere around 800 images total.
I got around 650 for 5 hours of shooting, but many of them are the same photo with different coloring styles (i.e. black and white, more traditional coloring, and then something very zappy). I'm glad it was edited down, much less overwhelmed going through them!
We got between 500-600 pictures, had 2 photographers for 8 hours. I know they took more pics, but they must of not been so great, because they weren't included in my final pics.
We got around 1200 but there are some repeats (vents, exit lighting removed). The only thing I'm disappointed about is that we only got on version of each family photo- there is only one formal photo of me, my husband, and our parents. I just wish we had a few more options for those.
We got slightly over 700 photos with one photographer for 9ish hours.
We received almost 700 pro EDITED pictures from 2 photographers over 7 hours. For quite a bit of the time though, they worked together (the one made sure my dress and hair was just right, etc while the other took the pictures). It worked out really well.
We got 798 photos, edited, on two DVDs. They were full res images for copying, etc... We had one photographer for 7-8 hours.
We have 533 professional photos. I'm totally happy with the amount and quality.
Interesting... looks like most of us got between 500-900 photos. So I'm hitting right around average at 690. I had 2 photogs who shot for 8 hours. I guess I thought we would receive more. But now that I look through them, they didn't miss any shot that I really wanted, so I'm happy.
We got 667 from two photographers for 8 hours. We got files for each image in both color and black and white, and they've all been edited. It took forever to go through them and narrow it down, so I'm definitely glad we don't have any more! Our album has around 70 I think.
We received just over 1700 edited images. But, some are just the black & white version of the color photo, so really there are about 1000 photos. We will be given a DVD with all the images around the same time that they design and print our album. We had our two photographers and a "second shooter" for about 7 hours.
I didn't count, but we probably got between 500-700 and all are edited. But of those 500-700, there are no bad photos- we could actually frame any one of them as is - so I know our photog went through and only gave us the best ones.
Same with us, moderndaisy. We got around 500 - 600, and we had two photographers for 8 hours. But there are no bad shots. At first I expected to get at least 1000 because of how many pictures I saw them take. But I was really grateful that they culled out the bad ones for us and edited the good ones to perfection ;)
We got back just a little over 1000 photos from our 2 photographers/assistant. We had full day coverage from about 11am to 11pm. They got pretty much all the shots I requested so I was thrilled
We haven't said "i do" yet but our photographer promised us 80-100 images per hour and we are having two photographers for 8 hours.

My sister is giving us around 250 photos, full rights, fully edited. I haven't met or spoken to our other two photographers yet but I figure I'll get around the same or more. 2 photographers did the whole day (7 hours) and one of them did just the reception (4 hours). I figure at the end I'll have around 700-800 photos.
I got about 1600 pics, but I had 2 photographers (not a 2nd shooter, but a seperatly paid photographer):
1st photog (good friend & pro photographer) gave me approx 800, all with basic editing & about 3/4 had extra editing done. She was there approx 6 hours.
2nd photog gave me approx 800, all with basic editing & about 50 pics had extra editing. He's just starting out as a photog (found him on craigslist). He was there approx 4 hours.
We had 6 hours and about 1500 pictures is what they told me we had.. pick up my disks tmrw
OH and all of mine came with full rights, which I think is more important than the # you get!
We got 1500ish photos on disc from 3 shooters, total time they were there was 5 1/2 hours. These are the raw photos (we don't really like editing), but they have posted about 100 edited ones (because they wanted to edit some) on our online album.
We received about 850 photos that were edited (seems like basic editing - nothing fancy) and we had two photographers for about 8 hours (I think...)
I don't know--but definitely more than 1,000--we received 10 DVDs. We work in publishing, so we got a cheaper price if we did all the editing. Our photographer burned everything (RAW and jpg) onto disks and gave them to us. But we only picked 300 to edit and that we're going to upload. No guest (even your parents!) care about more than 1,000 pics!
995 for 2 photographers for 4 or 5 hours on a CD ... let me clarify. Probably about 200 different pics and the rest are variations of the same pic. Like did I really need 25 pics of my father in law giving his toast?
We got a lot but not that many edited ones. She went ahead and edited like 5-6 and she will do the 50 or so that we select for the album and then any that we decide to purchase. Other than that they are pretty basic editing.
We received around 1200 pics. We had 3 photographers that were there for about 10 hours. I think they actually took over 8000 pics all together! Not sure how they narrowed it down...but they got everything!
We got about 5000 raw pictures from 2 photographer- 11 hours. We will get 200 edited into an album after we go through and choose them.
We got 1800+ photos (RAW) from our 1 photographer for about 4 hours of shooting, all on CD, all unedited or basic editing, with full rights on all pics. We like to edit our own, plus we're adding all the shots from guests to our "homemade" album (we're editting it & putting the pix together, then professionally printing it).
We got 2635 photos for 2 photographers for 8 hours plus all the rights to our images....its going to be hard to choose between them! No wonder bees have a hard time doing recaps!!
A little over 900 images on a disk. Out of that, I ordered 150 prints.
