We'll be celebrating our first at a friend's wedding. In Vermont. After the wedding is over, we have some sight seeing to do!
Our anniversary is in the middle of the school year and since I am a teacher it will just be a weekend away. I hope we get to finally take our honeymoon next summer. We postponed it this year due to my husband's unemployment.
I think we'll go out to a nice dinner and I'll have a special cake made for later (we didn't save the top of our original cake). Nothing fancy but just time spent together.
We're totally going all-out and celebrating with 2 weeks in Australia! Our bakery also included an anniversary cake in our package so we will have that when we get back.
We want to go on a trip somewhere, just not sure where. Anyone have any suggestions?
Our bakery will also provide us with a duplicate of the top layer of our wedding cake, it was part of the package so we wouldn't have to eat cake that was in the freezer for a year, lol. :)
We're planning on a trip to Italy. We both chose a more low-key honeymoon by just driving two hours to Vermont after the wedding, with the idea that we would go big for our one-year anniversary. Neither of us has ever been to Europe, and we've both always wanted to do more traveling, so we thought it was the perfect way to kick off another year of marriage.

There are some amazingly cheap travel deals for a week in Paris & London if you check the AirFrance website. That's my suggestion!
