man, i gotta stop checking the month twins board. my heart is making these strange little movements...
ohhhh man, thanks for the reality check! SO WEIRD/AWESOME/SCARY/EXCITING!
oh, don't want to leave on a nervous note. i can't believe it's almost here! woohoo! it's about time! ready to party! and eat! oh and say vows.
Final dress fitting (hopefully) is a week from today.
First my cake baker disappeared and then officially bailed. That was three weeks ago.
Then last week, it was Missing Officiant and his DOC wife's turn to disappear for 10 days.
Both of them re-surfaced. Cake baker canceled. We got a replacement. Phew.
Now, I am on day 8 of "Where the hell is my florist?"
I just started emailing officiants TODAY because we decided last week to have 2 ceremonies (private city hall and public at the reception) AAAAAAAAAAH!
Still need to:
-book transportation
-find underwear for under dress
-find honeymoon lingerie
-have tasting at venue (can only do up to 3 weeks before)
-pick up my wedding band
-start tracking down people who haven't RSVPed
It's crazy how fast time flies! It's right around the corner.... I'm up to my knees in DIY and loving it!
Uh can you say anxiety attack? I just booked my flowers today, and paid it off. Hopefully a safe delivery before the big day. Now if I could ever get a hold of my Priest (Uncle of the Groom) I don't think I would be stressing so bad. God so much to do, I wish you ladies luck. If I can pull this off, I will bless my lucky stars!
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited because in 30 days my LDR will be OVER, and in 32 days I will be married
Next month, Ladies. I have the goosebumps. :D
So I was sitting in work, and then all of the sudden I was thinking of when I have to walk down the aisle and I totally had a mini panic attack. Holy crap, only a mth away.
Yeah, definitely starting to freak out a little! Everything is planned for the most part we just need to finish paying for everything.. I wish weddings were free!
It kind of blows the mind, when you think about it. But I'm getting so excited!
Argh, why did I look at this. Every time I think of how soon it is I get so nervous and the clammies. It is not even being the married part, but the actually wedding ceremony. I am so nervous to be up on "stage" sort of thing. I am so excited to be husband and wife, can we skip to the part where I say I do and we start drinking?
@Teaserama: I'm going to have a glass of something before the ceremony!
Yeah, I think will need either a glass of something or a shot. My nerves will be crazy. And we still have a lot to do too. Mostly paying off accounts, and figuring out small details. RSVP cards are coming in very slowly...:(
All my RSVP's came in already, it is just those slackers that I have to track down. You know what the funny part is, the ones who didn't send any RSVP are over 45 years old. All my 20 and 30 something friends replied instantly. I thought that was really funny, yeah on my battle plan for the day of I have bring bottle of champagne. It's crazy there are so many little things left to do!
I can't believe it! We leave in just 2 weeks for our DW!!! Everything is done, I'm just settling a few things with our wedding planner (cake). Just need to pack (and get Df's suit altered!!!)
I'm definitely having a drink before the ceremony! Especially since I'm walking down the aisle alone I'm so nervous!
@WDWBride Your wedding is so soon! Yay! Disney world sounds like tons of fun :)
@verosara- My rsvps blew up my mailbox within a week or two of sending out the invites and then suddenly they just stopped! We have about half of the rsvps back. I'm so not looking forward to calling the other half! boo :(
@teaserama- That totally happened to me too. I thought I was going to have to track down and demand answers from all of our young friends, but it's mainly the older couples that I haven't received rsvps from. So weird! I suppose we underestimated our generation :)
@hisbunny- We're date twins!! Super happy for you that your LDR will be over!! My man is military so off and on we're in a LDR so I definitely feel for you. Congrats :)
Your so lucky! I want to walk alone so bad, but would never admit it to my dad! I love him very much and know its important to him. I would just love to walk by myself and be... I declare that I am giving my heart, and 100 percent into this marriage. No one is giving me away, it is my choice and I am gonna ROCK it! Or I would totally love to have me and my FI walk in together. But he wants to be waiting at the stage and to be suprised. So I will do it the traditional way, because I know it is more important to my FI and Father than to me how I walk down the aisle!
Unfortunately, my father has never been apart of my life and I have no living grandfathers so walking alone just seemed like the right choice to me. Plus, I like the idea of giving myself away too :)
I was thinking about having my FI meet me halfway or possibly asking my brother to walk with me, but I haven't really decided yet.
Awe you made me tear up, having your FI meet you half away swoons my feminist ways. So Cute! I say do it, if it speaks to you!
I thought it was sweet too, but I didn't know if people would think it was odd. I'm glad you think it's cute I just might do it!
haha @gidgett we're date twins! What do you still have to do??
Haha gidgett me too! I have like a list a mile long. I just booked my flowers yesterday!
@Bella: YAY for date twins!! What made you pick the 13th?
We're doing the cake today...flowers are next week (we're working with a wholesaler). We finally booked our photographer yesterday (and she's AWESOME!). There's just so many little DIY things that I want/need to finish...I might have to pull out the red pen and cut some of them. :(
Oh, and I need make my reception dress. That's, erm, the big one...
At Gidgett and Bella13 - Yay for date twins! I am meeting with the wholesale flowers next week too, and I am totally working on DIY too! Also, I am in the process of prewashing 230 dishes and silverware and glasses and mugs. GAH. I hate dishes now. hee hee....
Gidgett - if you don't have the reception dress done, then will you just be able to wear your ceremony dress?
Bella13 - Yay for being date twins and knowing about LDR's. It will be about a year long be the time we are married so it will be wonderful to be together.
We ended up choosing the 13th after we had date discrepancies with my parents (who wanted us to get married in June or July) and then after lots of drama, we ended up (being asked by my parents to pray about it for a week and not talk) being able to choose the date without anyone telling us when. Plus it was on a weekend that his older brother could come, so that was a plus. And it is one month after my parents anniversary. which is sweet.
But, there is still alot to do, so I should get off WB. Have a good day!
@gidgett don't even worry I have TONS of little diy things I need to finish as long as you have most of the major things done I think you're golden! You're making your own reception dress?? That's awesome! My sewing skills are definitely not that good. I would end up in a pillow case haha! 13 has always been "our #" it was our anniversary when we were dating and stuff... and I really wanted it in March because we're moving to VA in April so it will sort of serve as a going away party too!
@Bella: OMG! It's our anniversary too! We started dating on March 13, 2006. :)
