Hi all! First time posting here as a newly engaged bride in this crazy/fun/chaotic/stressful/time-of-your-life that is wedding planning!
We are looking to get married in the jordan/nigara, ontario area as we love the area, its our-home-away-from-home so to speak, our 2-hr mini vacation every other month and we love wine country!
We narrowed it down to honsberger estates, chateau des charmes or hernder estates winery. We are having a small wedding only 70-75 people. Honsberger may be out because they sent an email with additional charges so you are looking at $203 per person plus pizza $300 start up fee plus another fee which is crazy but maybe this is normal? Which is also why I am looking for feedback because it better be an amazing time at that price! 🙂
Chateau des charmes will still run us $15,000 for only 72 people but still cheaper than honsberger and then Hernder is the cheapest but I dont know if I like the idea of two weddings really close to each other and right beside each other (45 min apart so no time for idle brides or early guests at the other wedding, plus people visiting the winery will be driving right by the ceremony spot).
So , my question is if anyone has gotten married at any of these places, if they could share any advice or their feedback on how it went or if they attended one. Especially, since the first two, you are looking at more than $200 per person which is crazy but we dont want to give up our dream of a winery wedding.
thank you all and yay for being engaged!
