Nice to see this board finally exists.. The last time I checked, 2015 wasn’t even an option!
I love having so much time to plan, because I’m a really indecisive person, and it’s good that I have the option to change my mind and not feel rushed.
So what made you decide to have a December wedding?
My reasons are that it’s right after I graduate, and I like the idea of wrapping each calendar year with another year of marriage. Very easy to remember!

We did it so the weather would be cooler, and around the holidays so our friends wouldn’t have to make more than one or two trips during the season. Plus I will have finished my Master’s and will have been working for a while so we can afford it!
Extra planning time doesn’t hurt, either!

We chose December because you can get a price cut on some things. We also LOVE the holidays and the surrounding seasons, plus the place we’ve booked goes all out with decorations for the holidays so we won’t have to pay as much for decorations. Our date is 12/12/15, so excited!!

We chose December because I wanted a winter wedding in 2015 but this coming Jan/February was too soon. Dec 23 made the most sense to us as it is just starting winter and our out of town guests with kids will be able to come to our wedding as they will be on winter break. Also, will be an anniversary of him asking me to be his gf. Lol

We chose December because I wanted a winter wedding and the holidays are just my favorite. The season means a lot to me and being that we live away from our families, it’s a way to spend part of the holidays with the people who mean most to us!

We chose December( of 2016) because I wanted to get married on Christmas eve (which is also during Hanukka, fiance is Jewish), but he thought that a wedding on Christmas eve would not be appreciated so we moved it back one week,

Christmas parties are my fav so im basically throwing a glorified christmas party! 36 days to go CANT WAIT!!

Yay for December weddings! Our date is 12/18/15, because we are Southerners that want to wear fancy clothes without sweating!
FI and I have been together over 8 years, and the one thing he has always asked for was to get married with cooler weather. (We live in Memphis). So, we are getting married in the deep winter of New Orleans, outdoors. Weather should hover between the 40s and the 60s, he can wear a suit without dying (he’s a big guy), and I can wear a cardigan with my dress. We both loved the idea of being married outside, but the only viable seasons in Memphis are still stupid hot/humid, and Memphis is not attractive in winter. Everything goes sadly gray.
We chose the specific date because we wanted a Friday (hella cheaper), and it falls exactly 1 week before Christmas, which we decided would be great for anniversaries. We could leave for a trip in the future, drop the one-day kids at the grandparents, and be home by Christmas eve.
I also love that the numbers are all divisible by 3…..nerdness.

We chose December because I have always wanted a NYE wedding and I think it will be beautiful.
I also like the fact that we will be beginning our marriage at the start of a new year (weird, I know…I just like the idea).

BEES!! 5 months to gooo !!! 😀 I am SO exited ! We chose december 2015 because we got engaged in december 2014 and we couldnt have a summer wedding since my sister was already getting married this summer. ALSO, we LOVE the idea of having a winter wedding with the snow and all.. it’s so romantic ! My fi’s family lives in another country, so we get to spend christmas holidays with them since they’re coming for the wedding, they’ll be staying for christmas 😀 I’ll be done with my semester.. so everything seemed to fall into place ! AND, our theme is obviously winter wonderland !

Ours is right around Christmas time, so we will pretty much not have to work on our anniversary, which is nice. Also, since its right around Christmas, I wont forget, as i’m the forgetful one. It took me 3 years of dating to remember his correct birthdate. 😂😂😂

Our wedding date was 12-13-14 (December 13, 2014). We actually wanted to marry in September of that year, but DHs twin sister who is Airborne in the Army was stationed overseas and was not able to make it that month. She knew she would have a two-week stateside break in December, so we decided to do it when she was home. She just happened to come home over that awesome date 🙂
Also, my great-grandparents were also married on 12-13-14… December 13, 1914… exactly 100 years before us! How cool. And we didn’t even find out until after we were married.
December is also the perfect time to get away from the freezing winter for an anniversary vacation 🙂
