Considering it was made by Neil Lane, I doubt it.

@Sequinedheart: Nope…it’s a 4-carat diamond designed by Neil Lane worth $85,000. It sparkles like that because it’s a VERY high quality diamond. It’s on the list of 25 most expensive celebrity engagement rings.

Diamonds do flash rainbows too. Celebraties rocking moissanite would be pretty cool though.

Agree with PPs that it looks like a well-cut, good clarity diamond. Color doesn’t look so fab but it could be the lighting in that photo.

It does not look like a moissanite.

@joya_aspera:  It’s the lighting. I’ve seen other pictures of it and it looks really beautiful.

@Jabberwocky:  +1

My diamond flashes the whole rainbow, which I was pretty surprised about, but especially in the sun.  Although, that rock is pretty stunning.

I think it does look like a moissy, but I doubt it is.

@joya_aspera:  Pretty sure it’s the lighting. My stone looks like that in elevators and bars.

@futuremrsk18:  My yellow diamond flashes rainbow colors. It’s pretty neat! I wasn’t expecting that lol.

@Jabberwocky:  yes, agreed. It makes sense because of the high contrast lighting causing the strong fire in the photo too.

@Sequinedheart:

She might own a double of her own ring in a different stone. An acquaintance of mine has a 3.5 ct diamond but when traveling, going out to bars, or whenever she feels like it she wears a duplicate ring that has a moissy stone.

She says she has a fear of it being stolen. (In reality I think she just likes to prove she can afford both lol) Celebrities have been known to have doubles made. Who knows- but either way its stunning.
