@BridalBlondie: I would include some glowsticks etc as their favors, that would solve a favor purchasing issue and ambience issue...I was thinking about doing this also. I am going to buy some of those chinese paper lanterns and glue three of each different size together then get some battery powered LED lights and throw them inside. I would do a red carpet kind of deal with a fun backdrop in front of the reception hall where your guest book will be and have a designated person to take some cute pics.
Thats all I can think of now. good luck!
I'm planning on doing the same thing. I'm going have fliers made & send those out as my wedding invitations. I figure its a good start for a club theme :)
Do u know what ur doing for bridesmaids dresses? I like the non matching dresses so I know I'm gonna do that.. I'm thinking of telling my girls to get purple club dresses to go with the theme. I don't know if that'll look bad with me next to them in my big fancy wedding gown tho.
Happy planning :)
I saw someone else had the idea of mini-liquor bottles for favors (like the size they sell on airplanes) They're really cute, and clubbish.
I think your definately going in the right direction with the lighting... I love the idea of Mini Liquior as favors but thats probably gonna be pricey
I think a grand entrance is a must.....weather it be with just draping.. red carpet.. or velvet ropes
What about a Club "insert married name here" sign for your entrance
Disco Ball?? I havent been to many clubs without them.... Its just a classic "dance" Icon
I have actually seen some pretty cool mosaic candle holders and Christmas balls that have that disco ball feel and vibe that you might be able to incorporate tastefully
What about a graffti wall? With Lovey stuf & perhaps your names or something in to
Here's a link to a night club wedding: http://ourlaboroflove.com/darkroom/share/?n=alyelroi
Khloe Kardashian had a night club themed wedding- google her wedding
I'd suggest a few lounge areas as well, with different mixing and mingling areas and standing tables as well. Really, for a club theme, I think the lighting is what makes it! Sounds like blast!

So, my fiance' and I are planning a night club themed wedding reception, and I am in desperate need of ideas!
We have hired our favorite band to play, and got a great deal on a DJ to play set breaks. We are going to have pink uplighting, and an accent color "wash" to highlight the band. I am also going to purchase hot pink glow necklaces and bracelets in bulk for the guests to wear on the dancefloor to really give it a colorful night club feel. From there, I am stuck. I have no idea what to do as favors, and no idea what to do for place card settings. If anyone has ever done this theme for their reception, or has any helpul ideas it would be much appreciated. We do not want to go ridiculously overboard money-wise, or have a tacky reception. Thankfully we were able to get amazing deals on the entertainment and lighting which is helping to keep our budget in check.
Thanks so much in advance for any help! :)
