For the last week (or so) I’ve been waking up in the middle of the night super sweaty and hot, to the point where I have to throw the blanket off of me (mind you our house is a chilly 68-70 degrees AND we sleep with a fan on… I sleep in a light t-shirt or tank top and shorts) and I have a hard time sleeping. I’m not like soaked through my clothes or need to change the sheets or anything, but it’s definitely enough to be uncomfortable and feel like I need to shower in the morning even though I shower before bed.
AF started Tuesday (I’m spotting now) so I’m not pregnant, but of course I googled about it and it seems that this mostly happens in women who are postpartum or menopausal! I’m a little concerned because we are TTC, being menopausal would be a problem! I’m only 27, and I only ever noticed night sweats shortly after O (when my temp rise happens) for a couple days then it would stop, this is the longest I’ve had them and I’m getting concerned…
Does this happen to anyone else??

@wandering_gypsy: It’s normal to get sweaty for a few days after your O but if it continues afor more than a week and it occurs with more than 2 cycles in a row, it’s probably a good idea to get your hormone levels checked out by a doctor.
I will say that around 28 I had a definite shift in my hormones which showed up in my cycles (super short periods and hot flashes for a few months until my body regulated the changes), my skin (went from oily to dry patches and my first wrinkles showed up), and my hair (more gray hairs and hair thinning.)

I get night sweats a few days bef period starts almost every month now. I hate it, now there’s yet another reason I can’t get good sleep. I noticed it starting off and on about 3 years ago right around turning 30/31.

@beachbride1216: Thanks for the info, maybe it is just my body getting older… lol getting older sucks! I’ll definitely get it checked out if it doesn’t balance out in a couple months. DH and I already agreed if we have a few more months of TTC without getting pregnant to get things looked into, so this will just be on my list. UGH.
@BeeG35: Getting older is not fun! There seems to be more and more things they don’t tell you about it!
