i would t suggest anyone go to them. we showed up on time, i only have 4 bridesmaids. we waited more than 30 minutes for available dressing rooms. the consultant never shows and workers continually ignored us. after pulling dresses, we had no one to help us with additional sizes, zippers, shoes…i was running around doing it all myself because its not easy to get them together and they all had plans afterward. they called the consultant over the ap several times with no response. she doesnt show up until we had already tried on most of our picks..and she just stood their with her clipboard asking the same friggen questions we were asked when we checked in. i told her i didnt think she was coming and she just said “yeah, sorry”. also, we were told theres a 5 month wait for some dresses.
turns out nordstrom bridal’s dresses rum similarly in price and their alterations are free. i made an appoitment with them.

David’s Bridal tends to be a hit or miss type of place. I’ve had decent to great experiences for my own wedding. My FSIL’s wedding not so much… I think you’ll find varying levels of rudeness in major retail chains across the country. I would maybe make a comment to whomever their district management is (if they have one).

I’ve had some pretty good experiences at David’s, but I’m glad you made an appt at the other place – good luck!

I went to davids bridal a few weekends ago, HORRIBLE experience, I went with my sister who is my Maid/Matron of Honor and mother. I let the bridal consultant know what I was looking for, lace/drop waist.
She did not bring me one dress with lace even on it and only one drop waist. When I told her I was hesitant to try them on she got defensive and asked how I could go shopping without even an idea of what I really wanted. Maid/Matron of Honor and Mom continously repeat the look I am going for. I attempted to leave twice but she was so pushy, finally I just put on my clothes while she was looking for more dresses. When she got back I was changed and we told her we were leaving.
Since going I have received 12 emails from Davids.

@fresitachulita: Ugh, that’s awful!
I had vowed not to deal with DB for my BMs but because half of them are plus-sized and mom and pop shops don’t offer plus-sized samples, we ended up there anyway. Our consultant was a complete moron and working with her was like pulling teeth.

I am not a fan of David’s. I went there was a Bridesmaid or Best Man and was so incredibly insulted!! I got my dress there and said nothing to the bride because it was not her thing to worry about. When I went to pick it up, I had on jeans and trainers as I was coming from walking the Fells. The bridal consultant insinuated that I should not pick out some items that I was looking at because it might be “out of my budget”. Ummm who told her what my budget was? So as Fiance took my dress from her he grabbed my hand, flashed my ring at her and told her in no undertain terms we would take our $8k (totally inflated) budget somewhere else!!! I Watched her jaw drop as we stormed out.
