Some of you may remember my post a couple of weeks ago of my HORRIFIC trial at a salon. Here I am on the left, full hair and makeup out the door. On the right, my new makeup artist’s trial from yesterday:
The hair we did what the stylist called “Very rough drafts” just to get an idea of shapes and whatnot. Funny enough, her rough draft looked better than the other salon’s finished product! Haven’t decided on all up or half up yet. The half up one, the hair that’s down will be all curled. 🙂
Although things need some tweaking and finishing, I feel MUCH better about the lady’s I’ve hired and ditching that first salon. (The salon owner was a huge jerk when I called and cancelled all the appointments.) She told me their “makeup artist” came to them from a longtime job with some spa. I flat out told her it was inappropriate to use products from Walgreen’s/CVS in a salon setting!
(The new makeup is all Bare Minerals and held for NINE hours!)
Yahoo! On to the next 1,000 things I have to do in two weeks! LOL
Thank you for your kind words and fantastic advice in my last post, ladies. You’re the best! 🙂

WOW, this new artist definitely know what they are doing. It is so much better than the first time. You look great. 🙂

Very nice! I can’t tell if it’s the lighting difference between your first and second trials, but your eye makeup in your second trial is flawless!

Oh it’s looks good! I am glad you are happy 🙂

@DanielleElizabeth: MUCH BETTER, I actually wear bare minerals on the daily and it does last!!!

sorry, but whatever concealer your MUA is using is too yellow-tone for you, It looks like you have really old bruises around your eyes!!!
I would also see if you can find a better blush that compliments your features, the blush she used is matching the heat rash you have on your chest (I get them too!) just it shouldnt be that fleshy, since you have paler skin than I, I would use something a LITTLE bronzier.

Everything looks so much better!

It looks much better!! You’re pretty, the makeup enhances your natural features 🙂

@BellaDee: agreed on all points. Even a bright peachy blush would be lovely.
Also, you definitely need some texture on your roots. The front of your hair does look nice, but from the side, it can use improvement. A texturizing powder should do the trick.

Love the makeup and the updo!

@DanielleElizabeth: Beautiful — my only “teeny” suggestion would be to ease up on the black eyeliner under your eye….it appears the slightest bit harsh, and with the tears you will likely be crying at certain points you will probably end up crying it off anyway….

@DanielleElizabeth: You look amazing in that second set, just wonderful!
I actually much much prefer the updo, gives you a real polished and “wedding-y” look, the half do just looks like how I pull my hair back in a ponytail 🙁 Sorry!
I also agree with PP about the yellow eyes, its really strange! But I kindof disagree on the blush, I like it. You could go softer if you like but I like it as is 🙂
