Saturday night I had two nightmares that it was my wedding day and things were not finished and my family and friends that were with me told me too bad it was time to walk down the aisle. In one my hair was not done & I had no jewelry on in the other the boquets were not there yet.... I have had these types of nightmares in the past (even before I was dating FI)! I have already told mom & FI about them and have let them know that come wedding day if I am running behind that things will just have to wait. Have you had nightmares about the big day? What were they about? Was there a reoccuring theme?

Omg, I think everyone has these nightmares.  I am always having a dream that I show up to the ceremony and I've forgotten to bring everything... like EVERYTHING.  And for whatever reason going back and getting it isn't an option.  I always wake up right after the freak out begins.  Another reoccuring dream is that I've forgotten to book a vendor, say the photographer.  That scares me because I already have my vendors booked, lets hope they don't cancel on me!!

We got married in Vegas so a few weeks before the wedding I drempt (sp) that when we flew there I had forgotten to bring my dress! So in my dream, we could only find one place that sold wedding dresses and they were all like... wedding dresses from the 80's! They were huge and poofy and ruffly with giant poofy sleeves and shoulder pads. It was horrible! So when we actually got married, I made sure to carry-on my dress so I could be sure I had it with me at all times!

Another dream I had is that when we got to Vegas and I was getting ready, I realized that ALL my makeup I had brought was pink. It was all this baby pink color--my eye shadow, my blush, my lipstick, my eyeliner... I was so frantic in my dream trying to figure out how I was going to look nice and not so PINK! So in real life, I packed LOADS of makeup with me and I made sure I had many many different colors of everything.

Don't worry - we all have those nightmares. My worst was I woke up 1 hour before the ceremony and didn't have my dress.... Seriously!

And on the big day, whether you're falling behind schedule or not, it won't matter... because it will be perfect!

Oh, I've had several of those!!  Actually this weekend I had a dream that the wedding was over, it had been really fun but I barely remembered a lot of it!  I had to ask my sister about who had and hadn't been there, and I didn't even remember seeing the videographer!

I swear that I have had the EXACT same nightmare as you!! Everything is rushed....my hair isn't done, I'm trying to get someone to do my make-up, wrong dress haha!!!

I think that I have these types of nightmares because I am a very organized person and it would be my ultimate fear to be rushed and not have things done ahead of time on my wedding day! I hate feeling rushed!!! :)

@futuredrbraun: Yes I think it is the organized perfectionist in me!

I had another dream last night that I was trying to gather the girls to get ready and couldn't get them to come to the room and they were in the sanctuary (we aren't even having a church wedding) and I had to walk out there in my dress to get them.... then for some reason his sisters didn't wear the dresses we had bought them (we aren't buying his sister's dresses) I just gave up and let everyone wear whatever but couldn't get them to come get ready and lined up to walk down the aisle appropriately!

Oh MY I have found my people!

I have had these dreams too - several. Usually things aren't finished, though a couple have been me at the end of the wedding not being able to remember anything that had just happened! I'm beside myself that I can't remember the walk down the aisle, etc - I think that comes from everyone saying "the day goes by so fast" and "cherish every moment blah blah" - so I dream I have amnesia, LOL! There's one I've been having where the photographer only takes two pics and leaves. I had another where my mother moved my wedding to Montreal, substituted my dress for one with a huge heart shaped rhinestone sewn onto the front (which in the dream I ripped off) and the night before my wedding, she cut off all my hair while I slept - this one is actually hilarious now b/c NOTHING in the dream remotely resembles my dear mom! The rest is anxiety from being a type A perfectionist, LOL.

I guess these dreams just go with the whole planning territory! Maybe we should start a nightmare board!

OMG I've had several nightmares just like yours! The most frequent one is that I'm about to walk down the aisle, like the organist switches to the Wedding March and I don't have a dress, hair isn't done, no shoes or makeup. I then beg my bridesmaids to go to the mall and get stuff for me quickly and they run out, but go shopping for themselves. It's so weird!
