oh my, I have no advice. I'm sorry you're having nightmares!
I'm 8 months out and I have nightmares on a regular basis! The weirdest thing.
I don't have them that often but I will wake up thinking about wedding stuff. Yesterday I did a shopping list on my phone for all the stuff we still need to buy for the wedding. I am so affraid I am going to forget something.
I'm still 8 months out, too, and I've started having about one wedding nightmare every 2 weeks or so. Each nightmare centers on me having forgotten to do something. In the first one, we completely forgot to plan out our ceremony, and I wasn't wearing my wedding dress and did not have my hair done. Last time, I had forgotten to plan out any of the special dance songs, and was frantically trying to scribble a list of songs for the DJ on the back of our marriage license, using a crayon. WEIRD!
For me, these happen on nights when I've gone to bed just after doing some sort of planning. So maybe if you take some time before bed to do something that is not wedding related, it will keep your mind off of the wedding in your dreams?
Me too! Not nightmares neccessarily, but anxiety filled situations playing out over and over. I was like okay, we still have 6 more months. Get it together JEn! HAHAH
My FI and I both have been having nightmares the past few weeks. Spilling wine on my dress, the photographer not showing up, forgetting my bouquet, caterer not prepared, running late... pretty much anything that could go wrong. It sucks!
@iRun2004: I am still a long ways away from my wedding but i have 4 sisters who are married so I am having the pre-nightmare nightmares just listening to them. They have been telling me all the horror stories they had, the bad caterer, the bad decorator, etc. We have our site and florist picked out, and I am hoping I can get away with going cheap on the rest. My last sisters wedding, her florist about2 weeks before the wedding went out of business or quit the job, im not sure but they dissappeared. Luckily they found a Santa Rosa florist that was willing to step in at do what she wanted. They were nice and so I thought I would avoid that nightmare by working with them from the get go. How important are DJ's, music? will I be "the one" who didnt have music or dancing?
Had one the other night where basically everything went wrong: woke up late, missed my hair appointment, did rush-make up and went to the wedding that was nothing like I planned (although pretty). Everyone there, including the preacher, was a total stranger to me and my FI.
The worst part?? In the middle of the ceremony, everyone walked out and started the reception. I spent the rest of the nightmare running around trying to explain that we weren't married yet!! I was begging people to come back in the chapel so we could at least be married!!
... Anyone else thinking about taking something to knock you out before sleep?? hahahaha...

Sorry, there are no users yet.
Now that I'm only 47 days out, the nightmares are coming fast and furious. Last night I forgot my veil, forgot to buy my hair flowers and was running two hours late for everything. And when I saw my aunts/uncles all sitting waiting for the ceremony they were all complaining about having to come all the way down to our SC destination wedding where there was absolutely nothing to do. Hmmm, I wonder what my subconscious is telling me ...
How am I supposed to get a decent night's sleep?? Anyone else getting nightmares?
