As much as I would love to indulge myself and spend hundreds on shoes, it’s just not in the budget. On top of that, I need low heels (read: 2.5″ or lower) so I don’t look taller than Mr. Banana, who is only about 3 inches taller than me. I’ve fallen in love with the Nina Culver (2.5″ heel), but I’ve read mixed reviews about the comfort level of Nina shoes. I can’t find them anywhere in my size and color, so I’d have to use the design-your-own feature on ninashoes.com, and they’d be non-returnable (eek!). Have any of you ladies worn the exact shoe? How did it feel?

I ordered them from Zappos a half size smaller than what I usually wear and it was still too big. I typically fall out of pumps though because of the narrowness of my heels.
I’d order at least a half size down and be prepared to buy some inserts. I have no idea about the comfort level since I couldn’t even walk in them without the shoes falling off.

That’s so funny, I was just looking at those on Zappos and I saved the picture (they don’t have my size in right now).
They look cute for a shorter heel, I’m going to order them once my size is in. They have that alert feature that will email you once it’s available again (as long as what you’re looking for isn’t totally outside of what they usually carry).
It looks like you have a while before your wedding – so if they don’t fit exactly right there’s plenty of time to send back for another size or find something else (if you use Zappos there’s the free shipping and returns).

I can’t find these in my size in ivory anywhere – apparently it’s a popular shoe!
Did they have your size in any other color? Order it from zappos so you can try it on. Zappos has free shipping, both ways, and a great return policy. Good luck!

I ordered and and tried them from Zappo’s : I ordered a 9, where I’m usually between a 9/9.5, and they fit fine. I sent them back, though, because I didn’t much like the d’orsay back. It cut into my foot a bit. They were pretty good to stand in, though – I just liked the look of another pair more.
I did order 3 pairs of Nina shoes, and they were all pretty comfortable (besides the bit of a cut in on the back)

Thanks, runskiclimb, for pointing out the obvious solution that I had overlooked. I think I’ll do that. I usually order from shoes.com and piperlime.com, so I didn’t know that Zappos has a similar shipping/return policy.
I want them in size 7.5 (or maybe 7, since they seem to run large), and in ivory, too. Impossible to find! I suppose that’s a good sign, right?

My sister wore them in gold on her wedding day. She said they were comfortable, so I decided on the gold culvers for my bridesmaid shoes. That way, sister doesn’t need a new pair of shoes! 🙂 I had a HARD time finding them in all the sizes. I even emailed Nina customer service begging them to help me find a certain size. Eventually I found them all on onlineshoes.com. They do run a little large, but 4 of 4 bridesmaids ordered the size they normally wear and said they fit fine.

I was a bridesmaid in my best friends wedding and we wore the Culver in black…in a 4″ heel! We all could not believe how long we lasted in them. There was 4 of us and 2 of us lasted the entire night and the other 2 didn’t change into flats until about midnight.
Below is the pair that I tried on…they were a 7, which I usually am, but as you can see they were a little snug so I ended up ordering a 7.5 which was perfect!
