I've never found Nina shoes to be overly comfy. They don't have a lot of cushion.
I was thinking about getting those EXACT shoes!! But I too have never worn them. I've heard they aren't comfortable, but I'm keeping my hopes up.
I'm pretty sure I remember someone on here had gotten those to wear, but after wearing them around the house decided they were too uncomfortable.
There was a bride on here from Southern Indiana (Jeffersonville I think) who wore them in purple and said they were not at all comfortable :( dashed my dreams!
i wore another Nina shoes similar to this on my wedding day...the worst mistake i made. ugh. they really hurt. i even bought gel lining, heel lining and all...didn't help.
I wore these a few weeks ago when I was in my aunt's wedding. I had them on all day long, about noon to six. They really hurt by six, but they were comfy for about the first four hours. If you're not wearing them for hours and hours they're not bad. That was also the first time I'd worn them so they weren't broken in.
I just ordered these shoes, but I'm probably sending them back because the blue is too dark for me. Anyway, they are comfortable for me. I was encouraged by the reviews on Zappos; many said they are surprisingly comfortable. I've been wearing them around my house since I got home from work, for about 6.5 hours now and they're great.
Are there any DSW stores near you? The two locations near me have those shoes and a bunch of other Ninas. You could go try them on and walk around for a bit to see if you can handle them. : )
Cute choice, by the way!
i just got mine from zappos. If you don't like them, it's free shipping both ways. They seem okay but I'm thinking about getting a second pair of comfy shoes to wear during the reception.
I have an ammendment to my previous comment. After wearing these to a reception last weekend, they killed to dance in! Love these shoes to death and they're fine to walk/stand in. But a girl's gotta be able to dance!
Any other opinions from anyone who has worn these? I'm considering buying them. Most of the comments on this thread seem to say they aren't comfortable, but a lot of the Zappos.com reviews seem to say otherwise.
OMG! How crazy I should see this post tonight of all nights! I just bought that Exact red pair in a size 9 and it arrived today! Sooo beautiful! *sighs* And I am not a shoe girl at all (or...I thought I wasn't!). So, this is my take on these shoes after wearing them around the house for a full hour:
They are seriously SEXY. I kept asking my FI and he kept assuring me they are damned sexy shoes. with pants? sexy. with a skirt? sexy. with nothing? SEXY! ;P
I never, ever, ever want to have to stand for prolonged periods of time in these shoes. They are soo seriously high that if I try to keep my legs straight standing in them, I feel like I am going to fall over. They were okay if I kept my knees bent a bit.
The 9, for me, is too long (my toes don't peep like they ought to in a peep toe!) and too narrow. After wearing them for an hour, they did stretch out a little bit, but I feel that unless you have narrow feet, they'll be tight.
They are way better with nylons on your feet then bare footed.
The straps rotate for easier connections and disconnections! Love this feature! Connect it in front where its easy and just slide it around to the side! Yay!
Walking in these shoes is a bit awkward. I normally have a very long stride and these seriously hobbled that. I like to brag that i can run in almost all heels- these are not heels you could ever run in, ever! I think its the height of the heel- you just can't take long, purposeful strides in these. Think more 1-3" strides then 1ft strides.
The leather bottoms and insides are baby soft. Sooo smooth. Also, the gold insides are fab! Sure no one but you sees them, but who cares? It rocks just knowing something so awesome is under my foot! :) Also, the satin outside is very nice too.
These shoes have no grip. On our hardwood floors I had to be careful how I stepped because, while I never fell, I felt like the shoes would slip out from under me if I wasn't careful. Not good shoes to wear outside in the winter if you live anywhere with snow or ice!
Overall- This beautiful, sexy, amazing shoe is not something I'd recommend wearing for your wedding day! *sigh* This is a shoe you put on when you want to bring someone to their knees with lust...while you are sitting down. After walking around the house for an hour, they left my feet red, sore, swollen, and marked (from being too narrow and having my foot push into the bottom bit). While i'd be happy wearing these if it was summer and I was driven from my door to a table where I planned to sit all night, the very idea of wearing them for prolonged periods of time makes me cry (both for the pain and that they can't be worn that long).
P.S. I picked my pair up super cheap on ebay! Brand new, in the box with the cloth sack thingy still in its plastic packaging. So, if you just want a pair of killer sexy heels for looking good in, check there! :)
I just bought these in the powder sand color and should get them any day now. I first want to see if the color goes with the blush pink dress. Then I'll see about comfort.
@rabbit - Thanks for your review! I think the shoe is so beautiful, but it's sounding like it might not be a good idea for my wedding day :(
@rabbit- wow what a great review!!! you should be a writer!...or are you?

Hi Bees! I think I've found my shoes....I'm in love with them! BUT I can only see them online, I've never actually been able to try them on. Anyone? Are they comfy? I don't want my feet to kill me on the big day.
