Mine is at the end of November so I haven't done much other than the fun stuff like dress shopping and ring shopping.
When are we supposed to send STDs?
we're totally ahead of schedule. only 2 more vendors to book... florist and cake vendor. we also sent out our STDs 'cause most of my fam is from out of town - gives them time to plan and request vaca time and what not.
are any of y'all hiring planners?
Definitely not me. Our thing is in Vegas and I plan to have nothing to do the day of, and if there IS something that needs to be done, I'll make my mim do it!
So far, I only have the ceremony/reception venue booked. I was waiting on that before i started on anything else. No more procrastination!
I feel so far behind! Ours is November 1 and I have the ceremony/reception venue booked and that's it! We have been to a few catering tastings too and we started our STDs, but they won't be ready for a while.
My wedding is mid October and I sent the STD's over a week ago. The only vendor left to book is my for my cake. I am just trying to get all the big items done so I can focus on details.
i just ordered the "save the date" hopefully they will be here soon. location picked.... catering well half way there... i guess i've worked too hard on the little details and haven't worked on the big stuff. one thing we have started was buying all the booze at costco in chunks at a time a few cases of wine and beer every few weeks... same with the hard alcohol and champagne. thats the biggest "heads start' we got> time to get to work.... are you guys all using a DOC ? i think i need one any thoughts on that.
@pugbride - I think we're going to hire a DOC, mostly because we're going to be doing our own centerpieces and I don't want any of my family members to have to get them set up before the wedding.
thats my thought as well... thanks for the advice ERISQUE....ill keep looking for one.
Wow, it sounds to me like you girls are on top things! I technically have nothing booked, but that's mostly due to the fact that the venue we decided on cannot be booked until 6 months in advance. Way to go November girls!
We still need a DJ and florist, but not much else! I am working on my STDs and they should go out within the next couple of weeks. We just decided to rent a tent too, so we'll have to do that. :)
We've got the church & reception venue taken care of, but not much else. We're taking care of save the dates and a DJ in the next few weeks. I'm definitely procrastinating on a few things -- I probably need to make a big master list/timeline this weekend :)
We have the ceremony & reception site booked, a caterer picked out but not paid yet, a photographer & our engagement session already done, our honeymoon picked out, our bridesmaids dresses picked out, and will soon have my dress (I won a free gown at the Running of the Brides in Atlanta less than two weeks away!). I'm visiting our wedding city this week to try and nail down a baker, florist, musicians/d.j. and videographer next!
Everything is booked except the limo. We've even picked our menu, but won't be doing a tasting til late summer. We are not sending STD b/c we are over the limit of guests our venue will comfortabley hold. I'm hoping that most of my crazy family won't be able to attend. Horrible, I know, but they bring some serious drama.

Time is flying by... With the beginning of February, we are nine months away from the BIG day.
I wanted to know how are the plans for November nuptials going. Did you send the STD yet? How many vendors have you booked? Do you feel you are ahead or behind of schedule?
We have everything but the videographer and hopefully will be sending the Save The Dates at the end of the month as most of our guests will be out of town.
