haha!  i have another one (with a couple of variations)…

"if you want to"

"if that’s what you want"

"whatever you want"

meaning i totally disagree with you and when it turns out that i am right i will remind you that i disagreed with it from the start!

How about "I don’t know"?  That’s my go-to response when I don’t want to commit to something, or feel like I can’t tell the person I’m talking to how I REALLY feel.

I’ll take care of it….Meant to make the man feel really guilty for not doing what she asked him to do….

Glad to know I’m not the only one with code phrases!  My latest one has been "we’ll figure it out."  It’s much sweeter than "heck no!"  :o)

Real-life example:

SP:  Babe, what do you think about touring the Four Corners in a VW camper van for our honeymoon?  Doesn’t that sound awesome?!

CP:  Yeah, we’ll figure it out!

Men should be required to know these, prior to entering into marriage! There should be a quiz given while applying for a marriage license…

I have to object to #2, because it works exactly the opposite way in our house!  When I say I’ll be ready to go in five minutes, I mean "it is now 2:53 and I will be ready no later than 2:58."  When my fiance says he’ll be ready in five minutes, he means "I think I’m close to ready but I have to find the 47 things I want to bring with me in my pockets and use the bathroom and check my e-mail again and possibly read this issue of the New York Times."  Drives me nuts, but I love him anyway 🙂

haha…. I always say "Nevermind" when I get irritated that he hasn’t started on something yet.  He always knows I’m upset when I say it. 🙂
