We are doing something similar--but we're buying them, not making them. Our dog (the only "child" we've got right now) can't be at our wedding because of an illness and we are totally bummed. Her nickname is "monkey" and so, I found a cute monkey cake topper that we're going to use as a nod to her.

I just had a sad thought though... my life long initials have been the same as the turtles, Donatello, Michaelangelo, Leonardo and Raphael - my initials are DMLR! But when I get married... that's all going to change! Gah!

I finished the cake topper today! We decided to do a ninja turtle theme since we were both obsessed with the show when we were kiddos. I even made some tiny nunchucks (Sp?) but decided against attaching them because I couldnt make the sai's for the fiances "mini me." It's different but I love them and it fits us!
