cristinamarie92:  where is the wedding? try flower elegance in fair lawn, nj – i used them for my wedding and they were great and worked with me on my budget. also there’s a company that lets you share your flowers (centerpieces though) with another wedding or event in the same weekend so that you don’t have to pay so much for just a few hours..it’s http://www.bloomerent.com. good luck with your search!

If you are in South Jersey, I’m using RainFlorist in ventnor.  All red roses and she’s staying between 2500-3000 dolllars.

cristinamarie92:  I used Forever in Bloom in Mount Kisco, NY for my wedding which was further north on the Hudson. Our final cost was $3600 for 12 centerpieces, 7 bouts, my bouquet, 4 bridesmaid bouquets, 2 grandmother corsages, 2 large ceremony arrangements, aisle decoration, 4 cocktail hour small centerpieces, hair flowers, and a rose petal runner. I didn’t use the same materials you’re talking about, but everything I did use had fresh flowers (hydrangeas, iris, orchids, roses, peonies, etc.). I wouldn’t say my flowers were crazy over the top (I’ve seen arrangements that run the full length of a rectangular table with solid flowers), but they were not at all chintzy and nothing looked bare.

cristinamarie92:  and I know what you mean.. i’ve seen a lot of high/low centerpieces at weddings lately to keep the price lower but have the best of both worlds and it actually looks really nice that way

cristinamarie92:  Hi neighbor!

I used Steve @ Especially For You florist in Monroe NJ. He is absolutely the sweetest man to work with, I always loved driving down to visit with him and talk about the flowers. He can work with any budget. (Mine was much smaller than yours). He never talks down to you – he’s interested in getting to know you. He helped me figure out hot to acheive the look I wanted at the price I could afford. He was awesome. His team was on time with all the deliveries. Everything looked gorgeous. I highly recommend him.

cristinamarie92:  there were a 2 things I hated spending money on for my wedding and that was invites and flowers. I had a very reasonable florisit considering the area we live in. I spent under $3K for flowers. I had 17 centerpieces, 4 BM bouquet, my bouquet, 8 bouts, and 3 corsages. He threw in 2 church baskets, decorated the church pews, and he also did our sweetheart table. Inbox me in you want his information – he located in Brooklyn. I don’t think Woodbridge is very far from me.

cristinamarie92:  of course! everything comes down to personal preference at the end of the day anyway, but i agree the price difference should be significant to consider high/low if you want tall. i did tall centerpieces for mine and all neutral colors, and white/ivory hydrangeas and roses to help the price go down a bit. i added a few pics:
