Hi all! I need a little advice! So my fiance and I decided to have our children be our Maid of Honor and Bestman. We have lots of drama with friends/family so we thought this would be the best way to elliminate that. However we do still want to make them feel special and involved. Anyone gone down this road before?
Our kids are 9 and 7 (the 7 year old will be almost 8 by the time of the wedding)

@nataliemaude: I’m not sure what you are asking. Your children will be your attendants. Friends and family will be guests.
Depending on where you live, you will likely need two adults to sign as witnesses. You can choose anyone you want.

To be honest, I think that’s odd given they are just kids, but hey- it’s your wedding and I say do what makes you happy!

@nataliemaude: Plenty of people get married without BMs and GMs. Your guests and family will feel special due to your invite and thoughtful hosting of them. THAT’s how you make them feel special!

I am having the girl I watch (I’m a childcare provider) as one of my maids. She will turn 11 just before the wedding. I understand your dilemma, since, as much as I want to include her, she’ll likely be bored or out of place at most wedding things. You and your daughter can probably bond over dress shopping and pre-wedding pampering like a mani pedi, and maybe your son would like to dress like his dad and do something special with him.
