That could work, is there anyway there could be a seperate section set up outside for everyone to hang out at and have apps?
Are they able to set something up outside?? Or is there no room?
I've been to a couple of weddings where there was no designated cocktail hour. Instead, we went right into the reception area. We were able to find our tables, get a drink at the bar, and there were tables set up with cheeses and meats and crackers and stuff. At one reception they also brought around butlered hors douvres. Some people just sat at their tables, and others wandered around talking to people, and it was totally fine.

We are getting married outside and then having our reception in a building which is upstairs. However theres really no area for a cocktail hour. The bar would be in the reception room. My question is do you think its stupid to see if they would pass out appatizers at the table as like 1st course kind of thing instead of people walking around getting food at stations?
