I love ice cream and would never turn down ice cream, but my thought is that if people are going to be drinking (if not nevermind) then milk products doesn’t always mix well with cocktails.

I would love ice cream over cake anyday! Such a great idea!

We aren’t doing cake and are having an ice cream sundae bar instead. I kind of want to also have cookies or some other baked good available but my finance thinks just the ice cream is enough.

I don’t like a lot of sweets cake included. We are having a cake just for traditions sake and us wanting to cut it. But we also plan on having an ice cream bar because well we both love ice cream and there’s nothing better.

I vote go for it!

Go ahead and skip the cake. Though for the picture, you may want to just get one tier and put it on a stand. Or get an ice cream cake!

I say do what you want but my only question is what will you cut into?

I just saw a four weddings episode where they didn’t have a cake but had ice cream. They both loved pizza so the sliced a piece of pizza together. It was cute.

Ice cream is always a winner IMO.  We’re having cake for the same reason you stated above, but I’d really rather have an ice cream sundae bar.  We’re also having tartlets (chocolate chess and key lime pie), so that adds another different twist on dessert.

@luvmyDwight:  I saw that episode too! I love the idea and how personal it was!

now I’m just thinking of what my fiance and I can cut instead of cake cuz I really don’t even like it and we’re cuter than that! ;D
