It sounds like your venue doesn’t need much decoration! How about flower petals along the aisle – shouldn’t be too obtrusive for the reception

@Irish2014:  An arch as you enter the aisle?  Flowers on podiums?

you could have candles lighting the way.. my sister had a destination wedding and did that and then we transferred the candles to the reception/party area and it was lit up when everyone walked in.  (night club at the resort).

I am probablay not in the norm, but I am starting to think all of this stress is overrated.. quite frankly you venue sounds amazing and that is is the decoration.  If it was me, I wouldn’t worry about decorating the ceremony… it really does sound breath taking.

We’re doing outdoors/meadow and I’m not really planning on ceremony decor.  The guests will only be out there for half an hour, and it just doesn’t seem worth it.

I would like to decorate a cheap arch/arbor with silk floral garlands but that’s about it.

Maybe put the bouquets in small bottles or mason jars hanging from shepherd’s hooks? I love the flower petals along the aisle or even already on the aisle (depending if you have a flower girl or not).

Check out these pics:

Our ceremony is in a historic greenhouse filled with different types of palms, and we’re not doing any decor. Well, my dad is building an archway for the alter that we’re going to do some chiffon draping on, but that’s it. No flowers, nothing on the chairs, no candles, no petals, etc.

Nature is beautiful enough, sometimes it doesn’t need embellishment.

@Irish2014:  Is there a tree on the right hand side of the waterfall? Some simple paper lanterns hung from the tree branches or from a wire strung between the trees would be all I think is necessary, if anything at all.

Unless the wedding is after dusk, candles will not add anything to the ceremony decor. You could attach small vases of flowers to the aisle chairs with wire. These can then be removed and used as centerpieces on the reception tables.

You could use a small piece of furniture in front of the waterfall as an altar

We’re having an outsie ceremony that sounds similar to yours. We’re just doing a rose petal aisle, and an arch to stand in front of, and that’s it. Nature is so beautiful on its own!

Our ceremony was very similar. We had no decor – the flower girl really wanted to toss petals, so that was it!
