I recently picked the colors of my wedding (inspired by the picture below). I thought I wanted something simple like calla lilies for my bouquet, but then thought it might be nice to have them on the tables (not sure if that would be too much calla lilies, though).
Bridesmaids are wearing long dresses that are the blue and green pictured below, too. My dress (strapless Casablanca 1975) has a sexy, vintage feel….pictured below, too.
I’m also getting married at the end of November, so I have no idea what flowers are even available at that time of year……any suggestions?

Do you have your florist picked out? They would be the one to ask about the flowers, take your pictures in and see what flowers they suggest. I am having a hard time finding what flowers are typically used in what season for my wedding and my new plan is just ask the florist =).
Also, it seems that I can order whatever flower I want online, the season will determine the price. So the sky is the limit with what ever flowers you want if you can afford it.

Oh, I love that dress by the way, fits perfectly with a peacock theme!

Nice Theme The flower that came to my mind is Bird of Paradise. These are large though. The other thing is do you really want flowers? you could do something really cool with feathers!

@LaTortuga: Birds of Paradise would be gorgeous!
Cymbidium orchids are a pretty green color that would also match or pretty white Dendrobium orchids. I’m also getting married in November and using lots of orchids in both my bouquet and centerpieces (my particular florist says she can get orchids year around, this may vary depending on where you live).

@ladybugs101: I sort of have a florist…it’s between a local shop and Stop and Shop; basically, whichever one falls within our budget. I first turned up my nose at stop and shop, but I have heard from other people that they used them and were really happy.
@LaTortuga: I do think I want flowers….I like the peacock color scheme, but don’t want to jump on what seems to be the trendy, peacock theme.
@Luv2BeachIt: I like the flowers in the first picture! So unique!
Overall, I really like Calla Lillies. I like the simplistic elegance of them, but using just those would be boring. I am sure like Ladybugs101, I will end up relying on my florist! 🙂
