Hi bees! An added complication to my situation is that a friend is performing the ceremony and it will be his first one. We don’t have anyone with (much) experience in the wedding party or in our families either. I’m sure that we can get through the rehearsal somehow, but I am worried about day of issues. We are getting married in a park, so how do we make sure all the guests found the right spot before we start the processional? And how will we know when it is time to walk, etc.? And god forbid, what if a big problem comes up and I don’t have time to fix it?
How did you ladies deal with these situations, or plan to deal with them?

this is not my 1st wedding.. the 1st time i got married was too in a park… and there was some issues.
I would print out a timeline…and make sure all the people in the wedding are aware of it , and possibly signs like “ceremony @ 4pm —->” reception @ 5pm <
i would ask a friend or family member to act as a host/hostess in order fo SOMEONE to make decisions when they are needed instead of only you and your Fiance..there was tiny lil things that people kept coming to us about- if there was 1 person with a timeline, and rough idea of who, what where and when.. then it would be easier for you.
This time.. even tho i planned my wedding 100%…i hired a DOC because i dont want that stress!

Ask a responsible, take charge family or friend to act as a day of coordinator. Have a very specific timeline as well. Someone vendors can go to so its no caotic and no one knows whats going on or is bugging you with tons of questions.
