I think if you do that you should have someone in charge of it, and mcing.

Im getting married this weekend and I’m not having a DJ. I’m not having one because I couldn’t (no amplification rule at my venue) but I am going to do an iPod and have fun dancey music and I know some will dance just for the alcohol factor. Lol. I’ll be sure to post back after to let you know how it went.

@S2013:  So how did the wedding go with the ipod & no dj?  I am in the same boat as you with the restrictions from the venue.  Have thought about hiring someone as an MC, but they all have that cheesy DJ voice that makes my skin crawl.
