I REALLY wanted to get Coca-Cola in glass bottles to give as favors for our wedding but I did really bad planning and budgeting for it and now I just can’t find the money for them.
Is it ok to NOT have any favor??

Yes, I’ve been to weddings as a guest where there were no favors and it was no big deal. A lot of times they seem to get left behind or thrown away, anyway. I wouldn’t worry about it!

No where is there a wedding bible stating favors are a must. No one will even miss them.

Yes, it’s fine not to have a favor. I think I’ve only grabbed a favor from 20% of the weddings I’ve been to because the others were sure to have turned into clutter around the house.
And btw, Miss Post (or Miss Manners? one of them) says that they’re not required–in fact, their lineage comes from children’s birthday parties, in which case they are given to “soften the blow” for children who might have trouble coping wtih the fact that another child gets all the presents and attention. Adults, however, do not (or should not) have this problem, so it’s fine to forgo them.

I wouldn’t complain. I would be happy because I tend to not like 50 thousand Jordan Almonds scattered on my table.

@misscat1121: Those things are nasty anyway.

It’s fine! The biggest thing I learned from wedding planning was that there is nothing you HAVE to do. No matter what any wedding website tells you!

i suggest not wasting your money on favors. i hvae like 50 candles because people didnt take their favors 😀 Use that money toward something else. no one will notice…

i have never been a fan of party favors. even for a kids birthday. do my kids really need 108 pencils they will never use? a cute eraser that doesn’t even really erase anything but just tears paper? a squirt gun that will just annoy me? no. that used to make me bonkers when they were little and came home with a bag of shit.
favors not required!!!!!!!!!!!!!

not doing them myself because most are left behind unless they are edible…my parents went to a wedding last weekend where there was homemade jam that was left behind. i wish they had grabbed a few jars for me. 🙂
