@soontobehisbride:  My FI is the same.  I suggested it and he was like “no”…OK!

I REALLY REALLY do NOT want one.

But I may have to do one anyway to have the day go smoothly. Oh well.

@soontobehisbride:

Neither of us really wanted to see each other before the wedding. However we are going to meet (with each of us on each side of the wall) just so I can tell him I love him, and he wants to kiss my hand before the ceremony starts. (The kissing on the hand thing is something special between us).

That was how I settled the idea of the first look.

I wanted one at first, but we didn’t end up doing it. I wasn’t disappointed because the photo I got as his first look was more than I could have hoped for.

My DH didn’t even want to talk! He would text my brother to let him know where they were, if they were at the church, etc.

I didn’t want a first look either though. I’m too traditional.

My favorite part of attending a wedding ceremony is watching the groom’s reaction to the bride.  SO CUTE!  I’ve been keeping my dress a secret for a long time, so I definitely want the big reveal!   I think having a first look makes logistical sense for photographs, and would probably calm the nerves a lot too, but you only get the first look once!

@mgbser:  I felt the same way! I keep telling my FI that I can’t wait to see his face and that it will be the best picture of the whole day for me!

Although, I’m sure with a first look that would calm my nerves but we won’t be doing it.

@soontobehisbride:  I’m not doing a first look either.  Our photographer tried to talk us into it, and my FI probably would have been okay with it, if not thrilled.  But I’m really opposed to it for some reason.  I’m not typically super traditional, but this is one tradition I wanted to keep.  It may mean that our photo situation is not ideal, but we’ll work around it.

I think it’s a sweet idea but we’re not doing one becauase of wedding day logistics.

I wanted to do a first look. Just so our guests weren’t waiting too long inbetween ceremony and reception, and we would be more relaxed. Our photograper actually said no to a first look. But shes also trying to tell me how to plan my wedding so yeah.. But we decided to not have one in the end and do as @Bambi2014:  suggested and do a around a wall/ door thing instead. Cant wait to see his face though!!:)

@soontobehisbride:  we both knew from the beginning that we didnt want to do a first look. Its a new trend that started. I always envisioned seeing my DH for the fkrst time when I walk down the aisle. No offense to anyone who did a first look, but the shock factor and that first wow moment is gone when you do the first look.
