Maybe a matching brooch or bracelets for mothers or grandmothers?  Depending on your venue, maybe all the guys wear fedoras w/ a feather?

my message cut me off… continued list

silk fan or nice fan

I have also seen bridesmaids carry large lit candles to place at the alter or stand when they get to the front

Tall skinny vase of sand…to add to a community large vase at the front as a symbol of their support of your communion

Also re the candle if you do a lighthouse or even a vintage theme they could carry a small candle in a lantern if you have the wedding in the evening and dim the lights a bit.

I’m carrying a favorite childhood novel, my grandmother’s bible, and The History of Love, by Nicole Krauss, a book both my FH and I hold dear, tied up in a ribbon. My grandmother and florist think I’m nuts but like you, I am not a big flower person and this is saving me abtou $200! Flowers are expensive (and I swear they jack up the price when you say “bride”).  Find something unique and personal that works for you. I liked this idea

they also have button bouquets! You could do bouquets of feathers, butterflies (a la Miss Sanddollar I believe)
