Do you think you could go away somewhere for a weekend (and have someone watch the baby so you can be alone)?
I'm sorry, but yay for a new little baby! Think positive :)
You guys could stay at a nice bed and breakfast for the weekend, or do a little roadtrip. Are there any cities within driving distance or lakes/mountains that you could escape to for a little weekend jaunt?
We're not having an official honeymoon either, but we're looking forward to having a big tropical vacay on our 5 year anniversary, and I think looking forward to it and saving for it is going to make our big trip so special.
Awww, I'm sure you could find some way to getaway for a couple of days. Try researching cost of cheap hotels maybe in a city nearby you've both never been.
I also think saving for an anniversary holiday is also a good idea.
Goodluck.
I agree on the weekend getaway. Doesn't have to be anywhere fancy of exotic. Just a nice place somewhat nearby where you can spend a couple days together. Would someone be available to watch the baby?
I say weekend getaway! Even if it's just checking in to a nice hotel for 2 nights and spending time alone
We have a 11 month old and our wedding is 6 weeks away. We are also not doing a big honeymoon but FI really wants to do a weekend getaway. I don't know where in MI you are but here's some ideas...
Mackinac Island, Traverse City, Chicago, Saugatuck, or even stay at the MGM in Detroit for a weekend.
Trust me, by your wedding someone will be willing to watch the baby and you will be grateful for a weekend alone!
You might try hotewire.com for deals on hotels and rental cars. I feel for you, I don't think we're going on a honeymoon either.
I agree, you guys should get away for at least a weekend, if not a long weekend. All the travel sites have a lot of good last minute deals too, so if you're able to be a lil flexible in where you go, you might end up saving lots of money and going somewhere really nice.

My Fiancee and I just had a baby, so all our extra money went to the baby. So I dont think we will have the money for a honeymoon :'( I'm sad. This is one thing that I always looked forward to. Does anyone have any ideas about what we could do for a honeymoon thats cheap?
