Just think about how much you will enjoy the trip when the time comes! And anyway, honeymoon is really about being with your loved one -- and the holidays are a great way to have quality time and very special memories together!
That's fine to not take a honeymoon right away. We still haven't gone on a trip and we were married almost 6 months ago! It's basically just a vacation that comes after the wedding so I don't see any problems with having it later.

Create the honeymoon of your dreams.
Since we are so close to Christmas, and we're not rich lol. We were going to stay in a local hotel for the weekend, but we've decided to just skip that for now, and wait until Feb or Mar when we can take a real vacation. We will probably go to Florida or something... but for now, we will probably use the extra money on Christmas shopping and fixing up our house a little :)
