I have a ways to go before the wedding but we are doing up a budget and I need to have a good idea of the dress in order to have a price idea in mind. Dress wise we can go up to 2000 maybe a bit more but Id like a more exact dollar figure than 0-2000+ish you know what I mean? But I have no idea what dress I want. At first I thought I wanted an arabella by maggie for sure. But after seeing photos im not sure if I like the lace poking out at the top and it doesn’t seem to give the hourglass figure im looking to get. I am naturally hourglass but all the pics of the dress I have seen so far doesn’t show an hourglass so I dont know if it depends on whose wearing it . Can anyone give me some suggestions?
Id like mermaid, trumpet or something in between-basically form fitting because one of the most important things if not the most important is that it shows my hourglass and doesn’t turn me into a box.
No satin/silk the fiancee hates it, says it looks like nightgowns.
Not a big fan of flowers
Beading and bling is nice if it isnt over the top
Im okay with uniquely coloured dresses as long as it isnt blush im too pale to pull that off
we’re having an old hollywood gothy wedding
Please someone help! I’m sorry if I sound divey like , I’m really not, Ive just looked at so.many.dresses. and none have really sung out to me

Allure will have a lot of nice dresses in that price range. I ordered Allure 8920 and I love it but I tried on a lot of different Allure dresses that were all beautiful.

@CherryL: Mori Lee and Maggie Sottero have beautiful dresses and within your price range. Mori Lee dresses are a little bit less than Maggie dresses ususally
I suggest going to each of the websites and there is a filter that will let you search by dress shape so you browse through all the mermaid/trumpet style dresses
Sounds like you are concerned with the dress giving you an hourglass shape….the dress will only do that for you if you indeed have hourglass type measurements. Its best to try on different styles to find out what looks good one you. What you think you want might not actually be the best for you so try not to get to focused on that until you actually try on dresses!
I wore a Mori Lee trumpet style dress and loved it
Just to give you an idea…..this is a Mori Lee trumpet style dress. Me in my dress on the wedding day!

What do you think about these wonderfull Mori Lee (by Madeleine Gardner) dresses?
I think the colour is real hollywood glam:
Also “Blue by Enzoani” might interest you (it´s the more affordable range of Enzoani):
This one is also from Enzoani but from the Prom-Collection (Love16):
This one is by “Emé di Emé”:
Or from “Atelier Aimee” Coll. 2012:
Wish you all the best.

How about pronovias duende? The bodice is lace and its a lovely shape. Also i would try on the dress you originally like as many shops will amend the dress so they can make it more hourglass and change the lace poking out of the top too. They can even change necklines quite often so its always worth asking.
Good luck with the search.

The last one is around 2000 Euro (which is 2600 USD) here in Europe. And I think prices in US are cheaper than here in Europe.
Here you can have a look at the complete “Black and White”-Collection of Atelier Aimee: http://www.atelieraimeebridalcouture.com/wedding-dresses-gowns-collections/black-and-white-bride.html

I’d suggest the Mori Lee 5108. Mainly because it looks killer on anyone with an hourglass figure:
and on some Bees
WToo’s Frieda is within your price range (if you’re in the US anyway)
Also, I second the idea of looking at prom/evening dresses as well, if you’re looking for something in colour. This is from Allure’s evening range:
Also, you could try Wedding Dress Fantasy – they make dresses in 40 different colours. Some are quite simple:
then there are ones like this that are completely over the top!
