So my fiance picked a beautiful E-ring and we got engaged back in January 2013 while on vacation. It’s part of the Vera Wang collection and I do love it. However, within an hour of putting it on my finger I realized one of the things that makes it unique and that I love about it may give me a lot of trouble in terms of picking a wedding band!
Here are some pictures:
There are diamonds on the SIDE of the band instead of on top, which I love because it gives the look of a plain band on top but has added sparkle! My problem is I have always wanted a wedding band that is blingy and has diamonds all around it. I’m concerned the diamonds on the side of my Ering will rub against the wedding band and risk loosening/damaging the stones! I’m at a loss of what to do here..what kind of wedding band would you bees recommend?
Any advice is greatly appreciated! 🙂

@nicoleylo: I’d get a thin pave band. You could have them soldiered together to prevent damage!

@Laurenskii: Yeah I may just have to do that, just seems like such a shame to cover one side of the diamonds on the E ring when you soldier the rings together

@nicoleylo: maybe a half eternity? They’re more practical anyway that way everytime you slam your hands down or clapping you’re not banging around the diamonds

@nicoleylo: Beautiful ring! You’re right, it is unique! The side diamonds really do give it something extra! I have a plain shank halo (no side diamonds!), and I’ve considered quite a few options. Most people tell me they like the plain pave band next to my ring. Perhaps you could find some diamond bands that are similar in width to your e-ring and try those on. Here is my ring with a similar width diamond band (both are just about 2mm, maybe a little less). I agree with @Laurenskii: about the half diamond band, not only could you adjust the size easier if you have to go up or down in size later in life, but you’re also not worrying about diamonds on the bottom being damaged or lost.
