Totally freaking out!! My wedding is Nov. 29th and i still didnt pick out invatations! I dont know what i was waiting for and now im stuck trying to just pick anything! what do you guys think is the latest possible day to send them out?? or am I way to late already? I did send save the dates and everyone invited is local. I never thought invatations would become this stressful.

I think you are okay for now.. but you need to order or make them soon.
Invites are normall send 6 to 8 weeks in advance. I sent my invites around the 10 week mark, but they had to travel through labor day mail.

Shannn099: That’s the weekend after Thanksgiving, right? I would send them out ASAP because people may have made other holiday plans already. Since you sent save the dates already, there’s somewhat less of a concern, but often people forget about things and make other plans/book tickets/etc.

The latest you should send out your invites is Sept 19th, in order to give a few extra weeks added to the 8 week mark. This means you should order you invitations NOW so that they can print in time.

6-8 weeks is standard. But, don’t freak out too much! The good news is that you’ve sent the Save The Dates & your guests are local. It doesn’t hurt to let your friends & family know that the invitiations are in the works.
You don’t just have to pick anything for the sake of picking. Simple can still be beautiful & elegant. If your guestlist is not too large you may be still be able to get custom made invites (with a special touch) in a couple weeks. But that being said, you need to buckle down & choose sometime in the next week so that you can have your invites in hand by the 1st week of October (you’ll still have to do addressing & mailing, rsvp cards, stuffing etc).
If it becomes too stressful for you…have a one or two of your bridesmaids and/or close family members pull together a few options for you then you all sit down & decide together! Great bonding time. 😉

I love them. I used WPD for our marriage announcements after we eloped and I am using them again for our vow renewal suite…Save The Dates, invitations, enclosure cards etc

I’m getting married on Nov 1 and my invites haven’t arrived yet. Don’t panic 🙂 There are a ton of sites that will do 2 day shipping once you decide it just may cost a little bit more.

I don’t know about you, but with <2 months (for me) left til the wedding, my decision making process is getting quicker! There’s no time left to hum and haw, make a decision and move forward! Get on it!!! It’s not like you’ll pick something horrifically ugly 🙂

I wanted WPD for my invitations, but the cost was SO much – and using Vistaprint let me customize what I wanted after I found an invitation I liked. I was really picky.
The shipping was quick, and there always seems to be a deal of some sort. Ours were about $235 (including shipping), and we sent out 138 inviations. Each had a couple enclosures and the RSVP postcard – which was also made at Vistaprint.

Kacie209: Not to thread jack or anything, but how satisfied were you with Vista Print? We’re sorta in the opposite boat. We used WPD for our save the dates but we really underwhelmed with the print quality.

i second vistaprint. i was very happy with them. i upgraded all the paper quality and very happy i did. i order 150 invitations, response cards, info cards, 250 thank you cards. i ordered separate envelopes so i could print return addresses on both invitation envelope and rsvp card envelope, and i ungraded the paper quality to the top for everything and with free shipping. mine came to under $300 and i got it in a few days.
i priced the same thing out at invitation store for $1000.
i would use vistaprint anytime i ever had to do invitations for anything.
BTW, my BM designed my invitations and we just used vistaprint to print.

just_another_dandelion: Ha, I’m sure others are wondering as well!
I seriously had my heart set on these one invitations from WPD, but knew that they’d cost $500+ (even with a 20% off coupon), and I just couldn’t fathom the idea of spending that much money on something someone was going to throw away. So, I searched EVERYWHERE and couldn’t find anything that stuck out at me. Plus, we needed two invitations cos we are having a family-only ceremony and then a large reception… so I needed something that let me write more than the standard invite wording. I liked the fact that you could have a blank template and write what you needed, and could place it where you needed.
I was actually pleased with the invites, and have received many compliments. I thought the quality was good on them as well. But, it may be the design you pick. We used the 110 lb. stock paper for the invites, and then the recycled matte for the info/reception card. For the postcards, we just used matte so people could write on them when they were returned. Some of my envelopes came folded and damaged… but we had enough that those weren’t even close to being used. 510 pieces of paper for only $235 – as the postards had a great sale on, and I also ordered when they had 40% off everything.
ajillity81: My sister had a friend of hers make my bridal shower/bachelorette party invites, and she just uploaded the pdf file to Vistaprint and ordered through them as well. They turned out great!
