Woo hoo! Congratulations! I have a sweet spot for the personal, at home proposals because that's how my FI proposed, too. :) And double woo, I have filigree on my engagement ring too!

I am no longer waiting also YEYYYYY mine was suppost to be a christmas proposal too but i kind of dropped the ball on that one.

I posted a month or so ago on the intro thread here, and am now excited to tell you all that Im no longer waiting!!! Im still in shock!!! It wasn't a complete surprise, I knew that he had the setting, but I was sure he would wait closer to April when we went on our vacation together to actually propose. He told me later that he was going to propose on Christmas, but couldn't wait that long =). He actually only had the ring a few hours before he proposed (picked it up while Christmas shopping that morning).
His proposal was so sweet and personal, just us two at home, exactly what I wanted. I had previously told him I would kill him if he proposed in public, haha. I completely teared up, which made him tear up as well. I couldnt ask for anything more special.
As for the ring, it is PERFECT =) Its an antique filigree setting, and an oval diamond. (horrible photo I know... haven't got the chance to upload the ones from my camera yet.
