So I’m starting to realize that it might have been odd for me to go sans makeup on my wedding day. I was contemplating getting some done but in the end we ran out of time and I really just wanted to look like me in the photos as I don’t wear make up on a daily basis. Sadly I didn’t even have time to get my eyebrows plucked but they looked okay. The only make up I wore was lip gloss and I painted my nails and toe nails because I had an open toe shoe and a gross blood blister from a run.
Everyone still was all like oh your so pretty and stuff lol. So I’m guess people were happy to just see me be me too. How many brides wore little to no make up on their medding day? Did you regret it? Seeing the pics on my end I don’t regret it one bit. I’m so happy I just went as myself. Maybe when I’m older I’ll be happy to have more natural pics lol.

I’m planning to wear make up but I’m quite jealous you can pull off not wearing make up every day! My skin is quite blotchy so I like to wear it.

@Mrs Christopher: good for you! I am also jealous, as I am a full face makeup- primer, foundation, powder, blush etc every day type of girl. Would love to see some pics!

I don’t wear makeup on a daily basis, so I felt I would look odd all done up on my wedding day. I chose to just have some subtle eye makeup, and loose powder so I didn’t look so shiny.

People would feel like I poured acid in their eyes if I showed up with no makeup lol.
I’m on accutane for my acne, & while most of my face has cleared up signficiantly, the scaring would never allow for me to go without makeup to an important event (I do go sans makeup to like Walmart or something tho lol).
I want to feel my BEST of my wedding day, & there is just no way I could do that without lots of deceptive war paint 😛

There is no way I could do it! Good for you OP, you are lucky!!
I actually don’t wear foundation on a daily basis, just powder to keep away any shine, and people tell me I have nice skin…but if I ever go without eye make-up, I get asked if I feel ok, or if I’m sick/mad/upset about something because I guess I just look sick without it. lol
As for my eyebrows, I have to keep them tweezed…if not I’ll have one big black caterpillar across my face! Sometimes I wish I were blonde so it wouldn’t be that noticeable!

@MissCountryGirl727: Lol catepillar, I don’t have the problem but I know what your talking about a girl I was friends with in high school had super light skin and dark dark hair so most of the time she looked like Frida Kahlo. I do have somewhat busy eyebrows though so I just had to rock them on the day. They have shrunk from many years of waxes.
Now that I think about it some more the church didn’t have air conditioning in July in MA so its probably best it went this way anyway lol.

I won’t wear much. Never was a cake face type, I like the fresh faced look, and so does Fiance 🙂 My casual face is bare, and professional look is very light and natural. My wedding look will be very similar to it.

OP, you have no idea how much I am applauding that you had the confidence to go sans makeup on your wedding day.
I don’t wear make up on a daily basis either and I rarely wear foundation but I’m already having actual nightmares about not having enough time to put on makeup on our wedding day :S

@Miss Circe: I’m sure you’ll look just fine either way. 🙂 I just realized I wrote medding day instead of wedding day in the original post lol. I think it might be time to crawl into bed.

I’m paying a lot for photos and videos…and the camera captures things differently…and makeup is a necessity if I want my photos to turn out nicely. That said, I want my makeup to look like a more glamourous version of me.

I’m not going sans makeup, but it will be light! Normal day-to-day I don’t wear makeup, and if I do, it’s just some macara. For a professional look I’ll just do light foundation, maybe some powder, and mascara. For my e-pics I just added in a tiny bit of eye shadow.
I won’t look like me if I slap on the false eyelashes and layer up the eyeshadow. I’ll go very natural, but I do want something!
Awesome for you to have that confidence though, as PPs have said. 🙂

You aren’t weird at all. I’m not a big fan of makeup. I HAVE it, but I just don’t like to wear it much. My only must have is some kind of chap stick or lip gloss. Really don’t like the feel of foundation – no matter what the formula or type is. Luckily I don’t need it. Everybody said you were beautiful, so they must have meant it! Don’t worry over such things. 🙂

@Mrs Christopher: Thank you I think it’s just an irrational quirk I have to get over. And lol I didn’t even notice the “medding” until you pointed it out

@Mrs Christopher: I honestly think you will regret not wearing makeup. This is coming from someone who rarely wears much at all, but on your big day you should feel extra special!
I had a lot of makeup on but outside the professional pics made it look like I had NONE applied. Cameras will seriously wash you out. I can’t imagine if I didn’t have a lot of make-up on.
I actually wish I was wearing a lot more makeup.
