Just a question. I didn’t want to pick just one girl as a MOH, so I had all my girls be bridesmaids. I’m arranging them in the processional by height. But, now I don’t know what’s expected of them for making toasts, etc.
My groom is kind of in the same boat. His dad is his best man, but his dad isn’t one for real speeches.
Do we just ask someone to step up and speak? Oh yeah, we’re just under a month away!

Often a parent is a good choice. I’ve also seen brother of the bride do it. Or the girl who is closest, even if you’re not calling anyone MOH. Really, just about anyone you see fit, there are no hard and fast rules.

We asked our Best Man to make a speech, but no one else gave one. The speech we got was about 2 minutes long – DH’s brother isn’t much for public speaking either.

That makes me feel better. We’re actually just having my dad speak during the wedding, and then a blessing. So, I was imagining the rehearsal dinner toasts. Do I have to ask my bridesmaids to speak, or should I just let it happen if it happens? Same for the groomsmen?
Thanks so much!
