Ladies, I hope your not to disappointed that this post is coming almost a week late but I am FINALLY writing to let you all know I'M ENGAGED!!!! We moved into our new house about a week before and we don't have internet yet so I finally got a chance to sit down at a real computer and drop ya'll a line.

First of all, I'm so spoiled to have the fiance I do. He has been planning this day for over a month and was extremely excited and nervous. His cousin had the ring for about 2 weeks so that I wouldn't find it in the midst of moving and he assured me he tried it on every 2-3 days to make sure it was still there. ;) He proposed on New year's eve at around 8:30pm.  We were attending his cousin's 30th birthday party. While that may sound like we stole her moment, he most certainly talked with her first about it and she wholeheartedly agreed. We've thanked her over and over for sharing her day with us and it really added to the party. I had even called her the night before the party to confirm that I could wear the dress I had just bought as to not steal her show. She assured me that it was of course completely okay. His entire family was there and they all had tears in their eyes as he asked. I'm so excited I get to keep him!!

I've been waiting to write because the pictures are just so much better then my own words!

The darling ladies in that photo with me are FI's cousin, her sister the birthday girl and FI's sister. Love them all!

@janie-janie: I knew my ring was done and he had it but I was most certainly not expecting it at the birthday party! I laughed though when he asked me to come forward becaue then I realized that's what he was doing.
