Wow that is LUCKY! That almost never happens. I hope this cancellation is permament and not a postponement or that they change their mind soon!! YAY!
wow! congrats....we have been dealing with something similar to that and I had the same kind of luck!!
He will still be up for his regular deployment of 6 months, but not until May. His original deployment window was in November, but this was extra survival training that he was required to go to before being deployed originally, and now all has been cancelled and in May he'll have to go somewhere but not as bad!!! O and it will be during the summer so his wife can come to Jersey with the kids cause they won't have to be in school!
Glad to hear the happy news! After three months of dating FI he was supposed to be deployed to Afghanistan for 8 months! I braced myself, wrote sad poetry, told him I'd stick by, and just two short months before he was scheduled to go, it got canceled!!! Now we are getting married. It was Christmas time when we found out about the cancellation, and I truly believe it was a gift from God :)
Wow! That is such great news! I am really hoping I get that lucky! My fiancee should be getting out of the military right around our one year wedding anniversary, but we have been told that there is still the chance he can be stop lossed...which means another long, stressful, and hard deployment :( Let's hope we'll be as lucky as you!
O Js, I'll be praying for you, I couldn't imagine my FI leaving me, I really don't know how you ladies do it! You are all so strong.

My previous post above was about our best man's deployment, aka my FI's brother.. well my future SIL just called and said his deployment has been cancelled!!! I can't believe it!
God does answer prayer and we are so happy we will have him home with us even longer!!!
