Oh no I'm so sorry! We had a string quartet and it was lovely.
Sorry...it you really want one you might still be able to find one...November might be after the wedding season but before the holiday season, so groups may have openings.
Sadly, the string quartet didn't make it through the second tier of budget adjustments for us, so I feel your pain. I'm sure the pianist will be lovely, though.
If you know anyone who lives in the area I highly recommend posting a flyer in the music department at local high schools! I used to play a lot of events in high school, we had a group of six people who would rotate events depending on what they wanted (trio, quartet, cello violin duet etc). We were a cheap option, and we sounded like pros!

Just two months before the wedding, and we just found out that FI's friends who were going to play in the wedding, and round up two more instruments to complete the quartet, have been unable to do so. With only two months to go, and having an out of town wedding, we're going to have to give in and just have a pianist. I had several Bach and Handel pieces picked out, but the pianist (who works for the church) will be playing church hymns. The church has a beautiful organ, but it's broken! There goes my plan to walk down the aisle to a string quartet :( Ugh...
