@Lalalanelson:  “no offense but I think you are just jealous of me and only ask me about my wedding so you know what I am doing”

WHAT? It was like the double whammy of idiocracy. My FI’s brother’s fiance said that to me in response to me asking about her wedding (that is a year and a half away). Our wedding is in a month, I don’t need to steal your ideas sweetheart, I was just trying to be nice *eyeroll* It was rude AND self-important so it was doubly obnoxious

“No offence but you still look pregnant”.

5 days after I’d given birth. Thanks.

@excitedtobeMRSF:  What?? Just…what? That’s a very conceited “No offense, but…”!

I’m not sure why this is a thing. It only serves to make people think it’s okay to share your opinion, which then is usually rudely put. You can express your opinion, but do so in an adult, respectful way. I can’t remember any recent “No offense, but…” but there is one from when I was a sophomore in high school (so…a decade ago lol). My best friend has always had low self-esteem. I’ve known this forever and love her. It was awful in high school (MUCH better now). We were talking with our other best friend about guys or something during gym class and I said something. She looked at me an said “No offense, but I’m the one with all the guy experience” (she “dated” on douchebag who she let use her on and off through high school). I chose to ignore that comment and just kept talking with our other friend.

@elindsp:  What an asshole thing to say. Did you punch them because I would’ve liked to see that.

@elindsp:  wow. It never ceases to amaze me what people think is okay to say to a pregnant woman/new mom

@KatiePi:  Ha, no. It was my best friend and even she seemed shocked that she’d said it! I guess she just couldn’t help herself.

@excitedtobeMRSF:  Omg, what did you say to that? I would have lost it.

@Lalalanelson: I hate when people comment on others weight! I’ve been asked probably 6 times if I was pregnant. Once I could tell this girl was just trying to be bitchy, so I replied with

Me: Yes (I wasnt.) How far along are you?

Her: …I’m not pregnant.

Me: Oh really? I guess I shouldnt assume women are pregnant.

My coworkers (she was a customer) and the people in line behind her were cracking up.

@Flower_Crowns:  By that time I had already been asked several times, so I had plenty of time to create a comeback! Haha. Believe me, I am so not witty.

Just happened tonight.  DH has a friend who got engaged, we haven’t seen the girl in the couple since.   She looked at her new ring and said …no offense but oh FI got me a bigger diamond than DH  got you.  After I picked my jaw up off the floor i looked at her ring and said…. “some guys feel the need to overcompensate for their short comings with a bigger ring….. meh just sayin”

My MIL was there and she bust out laughing and said you’re both so rude to each other stop being bitchy.  The “just saying” thing is like the no offense thing too… like I know I was rude but it’s true.
