Hello everyone… first topic ever! lol so here goes…
Ok, so I’m not formally engaged yet, my bf has my ring. Just waiting on a proposal. He and I recently went looking for wedding dresses but Im very frugal and didnt want to pay an enormous amount on a dress. Since we are getting married on a beach, I wanted to keep the price below $200. Here are some of the dresses I tried on.
I decided to go with the last dress. Although it isn’t perfect and a bit to ruffled out– it was the one that I felt most pretty in and it was $150. I sent the pictures to my mom, bf, and sister and they all liked the second one better. I too like the second one but I just felt as though it was too plain.
Needless to say, I went ahead and purchased the last dress from Group USA. No return policy and the lace closure isn’t included. Im beginning to doubt the dress that I bought. Has anyone dealt with this before?

You look beautiful! It looks sooo much more expensive, too. Wait until they see you on your wedding day with your hair and makeup done, veil and bouquet. They will change their minds and think it is perfect, too.

@1blingedoutbride: I also like the second dress best of the three BUT I think it’s important to remember that you won’t be doing a “which dress should I wear” fashion show the day of your wedding- you’ll be made up to the 9s in the dress you chose, you’ll be happy and glowing, and nobody will remember the cell phone pic of the second dress you texted them ages ago. They’ll just see a woman they love in a beautiful dress on one of the happiest days of her life.

I love it!! You look beautiful!

@1blingedoutbride: Third one looks really beautiful on your figure; it really helps to highlight your waist and I love the way the bodice looks on you as well (and I think the ruffled skirt will look lovely on the beach with a nice breeze too).
Everyone will have an opinion on everything you decide about your wedding. Personally, I think you made a good choice and that you will look lovely on your wedding day.

@1blingedoutbride: The first one for sure! I love it!

@1blingedoutbride: Don’t get me wrong you look beautiful in all of them but number 3 doesn’t seem like a beach dress. My best friend was married in dress number 2 and it’s sucha timeless dress very classic and when she first sent me the picture of her in that dress I had my doubts but on the day of her wedding all done up she looked soo timeless!!! But it’s whatever YOU feel most comfortable in!

You look great! And I think if you get it altered just a little bit closer to your body, you will look even more amazing!

@1blingedoutbride: I’ll be honest, I prefer the second dress too. But all three dresses are gorgeous, so maybe it’s just because we’re allowed to compare and the 2nd dress has a different shape, so it immediately stands out.
Do you think if they had not seen the other pictures, they would have liked your dress ? Thinking about it, if I sent a few pictures of dresses to my mom and sister, I’m sure they would have said another dress was better and I even know which one they would have preferred. But it wasn’t me, I didn’t feel as good in it, and I’m the one who has to wear it and feel amazing in it. In the end, my choice was the best choice, because it has to make ME happy.
Trust yourself, you have a beautiful dress and at that price, it’s a great deal. 🙂

@1blingedoutbride: I think the 2nd dress very pretty, but I’ll be honest I like the 3rd one the best so I am smiling because that’s the one you bought!! It’s so pretty and light-looking, and I think it will be super pretty on the beach. If you really love it, tell your family etc that you do and that their comments about liking the other dress better make you uncertain about the dress you really love, and that they should find positive things to say about the dress YOU love. If they’re good people, they’ll try. 🙂

Dress 3 is beautiful and once it is fitted to you will look even better! just because you are getting married on a beach doesn’t mean you have to wear a flowy dress.

@1blingedoutbride: I think it’s gorgeous! It looks absolutely stunning on you, and $150?! DANG!
It doesn’t matter what other people think. Honestly, it’s why I didn’t show people pictures of my wedding dress. All that matters is that you love it and you feel beautiful in it.
As a note: I got married on the beach and didn’t have what people considered a “beach” dress either. 😉 You look stunning and if that’s the dress you want- forget what everyone else says! It’s YOUR day, not theirs!

Go with your gut – it’s your day and you have to feel beautiful in your dress. I know how it feels to want to appease everyone, but make sure you’re 100% happy!

@PacificMrs: Totally agreed with everything you just said! 😀
@1blingedoutbride: You look so gorgeous in your dress!

I wanna cry lol. Thanks everyone for being so supportive. It’s hard to pick a dress and I really wanted to get it over with. I am happy with the one I got and I will get it to fit me better. That brings me to my next question..
Does anyone know where I can get a lace closure from to fasten the dress up? It didnt come with one.
