Right now, we are planning on having our ceremony in a catholic church, which means we aren’t able to play any secular music for the ceremony. For brides who also have this rule, what songs will you be using? The church has an organist, violinist, and guitarist that we are able to use.

I’m absolutely no help because I was married outside of the church and all of my music was secular, but bumping this in hopes that some bees who have advice for you will come along 🙂

- Wedding: July 2013 - The front lawn of our church
When i Say I Do by Matthew West is beautiful. Also, When God Made You by Natalie Grant sings it. They are both christian artists so maybe the church would allow them.

I’ve played organ at many weddings at my church. Classical music (canon in d, trumpet voluntary) are generally allowed. I’ve done the Irish Wedding Song and some pieces by Christian artists as well. Consult with the organist and cantor at the church who’ve probally done lots of weddings for ideas.
