No holiday for me here. Although, I do have days off. I work for an American company in Canada so I get Thanksgiving and Black Friday off. The downfall is I had to work Canadian Thanksgiving.

I keep thinking it’s Friday and it’s not 🙁 haha. I WISH it was a holiday!

I’m in the US and will be celebrating Thanksgiving later, but I dropped in to see what the bees were chatting about today. I hope you ladies have a great day, despite not having a holiday today.

No holiday here! Just at work, I would have sooo loved to have slept in this morning though! Can’t we just start celebrating each others holidays as well? Come on, I thought we were friends.

rcac1208:  that’s interesting, is that typical?

I am in American and am mentoring the one employee we have in Canada. He follows the Canadian National Holiday schedule so he is working today (but had off for Canadian Thanksgiving). He does have off tomorrow though because it’s considered a company holiday. I wonder if it just differs by company?

No Thanksgiving here, or at least no Thanksgiving with my family. Right now, I am playing video games and texting DBF before I go to work a little after 1 pm. Although this is my first holiday working, I don’t think I will mind it today. I was never that big on Thanksgiving anyway, so while I will miss my family, work will keep me busy. 🙂

I’m getting ready to head out to a doctor’s appointment.  The roads aren’t great today, and this doctor is further away than most of mine but it’s mostly major roads I need so it should go ok I hope.

MrsBeck:  I think it’s just a company thing. I work as a customer service vendor for an American company. So while employees of my vendor are working (payroll, HR, etc.), our client is closed so there’s no work to be done!

MsGinkgo:  It sucks more than being good actually. I work all Canadian holidays (with stat pay, of course) so I never get to see my family for Thanksgiving. But when there’s an American holiday, it’s an unpaid day off.

My Thanksgiving is tomorrow. My best friend is flying in today to have Thanksgiving tomorrow with my husband and I. I am so excited to see her!
